Akali Build

Table of Contents

  • Abilities

    Twin Disciplines
This is Akali's passive. With the Masteries and Runes that I have chosen along with the first item you pick you will get both Disciplines at level 1. :)

    Mark of the Assassin
Very good harasser, & last hit killer, sometimes if your doing a 2v1 and your up against your tower this will definitely help you get those last hit minion kills, just make sure you time it correctly. Also it restores energy and does extra damage if you melee a target with this active on them.

You can also double up on this, You throw it at your target, and wait for it to be on cool down again and then jump to them and auto attack before the first one disappears, throw your mark again and then hit them again. If you have Sheen or Lich Bane this will do some crazy damage.

    Twilight Shroud
Perfect for a get away, the enemies always assume your going to run toward your base, well you can always run the other way... this is why I choose Boots of Swiftness also. You can also use it to regain some energy while your enemy waits for you to come out of stealth.

You can also use it to slow for your team when escaping or toss it in front of your enemy to slow them catch up to them. Also very important, you can use this to loose minion aggro if your about to die from minions.

    Crescent Slash
Really great damage, used very well on farming. It uses a lot of energy, so be careful and watch your energy if your far from base or in a spot that you could be ganked at.

    Shadow Dance
You can have a maximum of 3 marks at a time, use them wisely. This spell has awesome damage, and is very good for chasing enemies. Also don't forget that after a champion kill or assist you gain a mark back.
Also sometimes, at the right place and the right time you can use it as an escape/juke as well. So many times ill have Twilight Shroud up and see an enemy near a bush or coming in to help kill me and ill Shadow Dance to them and juke when they least expect it, same goes for minions, you can use it on them as well.
Also one big way I like to gank people is when we are on opposite side of minions and they "think" I can't reach them, well ill normally Shadow Dance to the furthest minion, then throw a Mark of the Assassin at them and then do another Shadow Dance to finally reach and kill them.

  • Items

Start with a Amplifying Tome and a Health Potion.

Grab your Boots of Speed & Upgrade Amplifying Tome to a Mejai's Soulstealer.

Upgrade your Boots of Speed to Boots of Swiftness.

Next you will want to grab another Amplifying Tome or Giant's Belt if you can afford it or both.

Then once you got those two items grab a Blasting Wand and finally build it into a [item=Rylai's Scepter] as soon as you can.

So far you should have 3 items.

    1. Mejai's Soulstealer
    2. Boots of Swiftness
    3. Rylai's Crystal Scepter.

Next, grab another Amplifying Tome. Build it into a Sheen as soon as you can.

Next you will want to grab another Blasting Wand, from there upgrade it to a Lich Bane.

Next grab another Blasting Wand, then another Amplifying Tome and finally biuld it into a Void Staff.

For your final item. You will want to buy a Rabadon's Deathcap.

You should now have all 6 items.

Remember to always buy Health Potion's when you have a few extra gold, I normally buy 2-3 each buy time up until level 11-13.

    Also,

If your being focused a lot grab Abyssal Scepter instead of Void Staff. This, along with Lich Bane will give you a decent amount of Magic Resistance.

Another quick note, sometimes I focus on Sheen first and then Boots of Swiftness but I always build Mejai's Soulstealer first to start getting those stacks, it just depends on how the game is going.

  • Masteries + Runes

    For Masteries I use 30/0/0

    For runes I use

3x Greater Quintessence of Strength (+6.75 AD)
1x Greater Mark of Strength(+0.95 AD)
8x Greater Mark of Insight (+7.6 MP)
9x Greater Seal of Vitality (174.96 HP at lvl 18)
9x Greater Glyph of Force (27.54 AP at lvl 18)

You will be able to get both Twin Disciplines at level 1 this way.

You will notice the 3 points in Brute Force, 3x Greater Quintessence of Strength, & 1x Greater Mark of Strength. Will get you your 2nd Discipline Discipline of Might. Your first item Amplifying Tome will get you the 1st Discipline of Force. This way you wont have to loose an item spot to get Discipline of Might.

  • Spells

Because of the 21/0/9 masteries I use Ignite & Ghost.

If you decide to change them around then that's fine, other good spells are
Flash - to be used instead of ghost.
Exhaust - Good for team fights and 1v1's.
Teleport - Good to save or take a Tower, also save an ally or defeat an enemy. Remember you can teleport to wards and Teemo's mushrooms.
Heal - Good for Tower diving or baiting enemies.

Id probably never consider any of the others.

  • Skilling Order

  • End Result

If you follow my guide your stats at the end of ranked games should always end up similar to this.

Now I can't promise you that your game will always be this great, sometimes people just have bad games. Please try out my guide several times before you decide you do or don't like it.

    Thanks for your time!
