  • Description

    HP / AP Nidalee

Most of Nidalee's attacks are spell based. By going an HP / AP build you will have great survivability as well as damage.

At level 6 Nidalee gains Aspect of the Cougar. This is when the game changes. It's time to jungle lizard/golem and start ganking!

    Attack Style:
Start by throwing a Javelin (if possible)
Then cast Primal Surge on yourself for the attack speed
Next use Aspect of the Cougar
    Advance towards the enemy
By this time your spear should be hitting
Cast Pounce to catch/stun the enemy.
Cast Takedown (it's a self buff)
    Cast Swipe
Spam all 3 cat abilities until the enemy dies.

It is important to note that all cat form abilities fire no matter what target is near you. For this reason constantly be right clicking on the enemy to ensure Nidalee is pointed the right direction.

  • Items

    1. Boots of Speed
    5. Guinsoo's Rageblade
    2. Mercury's Treads
    3. Lich Bane
    4. [item=Rylai's Scepter]
    6. Void Staff

I start by going Boots of Speed. This will give you a slight speed advantage. You can't really do much except NOT die. (heal + lots of hp). Remember, your goal is to get to level 6 as soon as possible.

Save up for 2200 gold to buy Guinsoo's Rageblade. This item's passive will stack with every pounce!

Next I pick up Mercury's Treads to help with ganking. Although, movement speed is not as important because of the innate run speed bonus Nidalee gets from running through weeds. Sometimes this is skipped until later depending on the game.

Sheen is next so you can build Lich Bane which will greatly increase Nidalee's offense. Every 3 seconds expect to see 300-400 extra magic damage on your normal attacks.

[item=Rylai's Scepter] was made for Nidalee. Some games this item is moved up further on the list. ALL of your cat attacks WILL proc this snare. HP / AP / Snare! This item is great.

  • Skilling Order

Pretty Simple. Get Primal Surge every time it's available. This will give you a really good heal / attack speed as well as a really good frontal magic damage aoe in cat form. Pounce enables you to quickly hunt down fleeing champions. Quite a few Nidalee's focus on Javelin toss. I find this to be a poor dmg / mana ratio and it's extremely hard to use. Focus on getting level 6 early (to start ganking) while playing defensively and keeping your lane mate alive with the heal.

    Levels:

    1. Primal Surge / Swipe
    2. Bushwhack / Pounce

    11. Aspect Of The Cougar
    12. Bushwhack / Pounce
    13. Bushwhack / Pounce

    15. Javelin Toss / Takedown
    16. Aspect Of The Cougar
    17. Javelin Toss / Takedown
    18. Javelin Toss / Takedown

  • Masteries

    Masteries: 9/0/21

Nidalee seems to benefit most from the utility tree. Faster exp gain, run speed, and quicker flash is all a huge bonus. The duration benefits of neutral buffs is very handy for jungling. Make sure to pick up the magic penetration in the offense tree to get a healthy boost to DPS.

  • Summoner Spells

The key with summoner spells in general is to spec for them in your masteries. It really helps.

I recommend these two for Nidalee:

    Flash
    Exhaust

  • Runes

    *In testing.
