  • Abilities

    Visionary
    Nunu can cast a spell for free upon attacking a unit 7 times.


    Consume
    (18/16/14/12/10 seconds)
    Takes a bite out of target minion, dealing 500 / 600 / 700 / 800 / 900 damage and restoring 125/180/235/290/345 (+0 ability power) health.


    Blood Boil
    (15 seconds)
    Increases an allied unit's attack speed by 25/35/45/55/65% and movement speed by 11/12/13/14/15% for 15 seconds. If Bloodboil is cast on an ally, Nunu now also gains the affect of Bloodboil.


    Ice Blast
    (6 seconds)
    Nunu throws a ball of ice at an enemy unit, dealing 85 / 130 / 175 / 225 / 275 (+0 ability power) magic damage and slowing their movement speed by 40/45/50/55/60% and attack speed by 25% for 4 seconds.


    Absolute Zero
    (150/120/90 seconds)
    While channeling for 3 seconds, slows nearby enemy units' attack speed by 25% and movement speed by 49%. After channeling, enemies caught in the area are dealt 625/875/1125 (+0 ability power) magic damage.


  • Introduction

    In this guide i will be telling you how to make a fun and easy tank build for nunu that has won me many games before, it isn't all abut the magic penetration or ability power but focuses on mainly health and armor with that bit of Ap. Nunu is not a high Teir champion and is recommended to be used early levels in the game rather than at level 30 were Nunu will be raped by High Teir champions. So enjoy the guide and I hope it helps.

  • Masteries

    This masteries setup gives you a heap of defense with that bonus of utility.

  • Runes

    For the runes i have made a full tank rune setup with that bit of ability power to help.

    9xGreater mark of fortitude
    9xGreater seal of Resilience
    9xGreater glyph of potency
    3xGreater quintessence of intellect

  • Summoner Abilities

    These are the summoner abilities I use for Nunu most of the time but you can always change them if you want lol.

    Exhaust
    Is a good summoner ability for Nunu to slow enemy champions so it is much easier to use your ultimate on them, also good for dps champions when you are running away.

    Clarity
    Helps earlier in the game but with the item builds you wont need it later in the game


    Ghost
    Great for running away lol but it has gotten me out of some sticky situations.

    Flash
    A good ability if needed, such for giving a final shot or flashing while running away but not necessary for Nunu

  • Twisted Treeline

    In Twisted Treeline it becomes a team fight pretty quickly especially for Nunu who can be used as a support character and will be at the bottom lane. (I advise you not to put Nunu at the top lane only if necessary) So this setup I have found to be the best for Twisted Treeline.


    At lower levels I suggest you jungle, this will be easy because of your consume, especially jungle if you have a low ad or dps or ap and just have mainly tanks in your team. I good buff in twisted Treeline for Nunu is the speed buff at the top right side of the map. This will help for running away and/or catching someone when they try and get away from you. At about level 9 or 10 you should either get the single attack damage buff for you to help in a fight, or get your team to go and attack the dragon for a full team buff.


    This is the skill setup I advise you to use:


    1. Ice Blast

    3. Blood Boil

  • Twisted treeline Items

    This Item setup gives you an even amount of armor/magic resistance and Ap so you last in fights and still give a good amount of damage with your abilities and can heal better.


    1. Dorans Ring + Mana potion
    This gives you a good bit of starting health and some mana regain and ability power but cannot be built into anything.(No need for a health potion for you have consume at lvl 2)


    Or


    Cloth armor + 2 mana potion + 2 Health potion
    This gives you an item that can be built into later core items for Nunu and gives you more staying power with the potions. (good if you are facing mainly dps and ad champions)


    2. If facing a mainly Ap team get Mercurys Treads next for that bit of magic resistance.
    If facing a mainly Ad/dps team get ninja tabi for that bit of armor


    3. Sunfire cape (gives you a bit of armor and a lot of health with an added bones of magic damage to enemies each second. There is no need to get 2 sunfire capes.)


    4. Sheen (this helps with your mana and gives you that extra bit of ability power and added bones of its passive ability.)


    5. Gardian angel (gives you armor and magic resist with the bones of reviving if you die)


    6. [item_icon=Rylai's scepter]Rylais Scepter ( gives you 500 health with extra ability power, and an added bones of a chance to slow your enemys after an attack, very good with ice blast)


    7. Lich bane (gives you more mana and ability power off sheen)
    If facing an Ap team I suggest you swap Lich bane for [item_icon=Force of nature]force of nature (this will give you health regain and very good magic resist)

  • Summoner's Rift

    In Summoners Rift you are usually with just one person for a very long time and dont do to many team fights until late mid and late game. It is very rare for Nunu to go mid but its happened to me a couple of times lol. So with this build it is more suited for summoners rift rather than twisted Treeline. You can always change things lol.


    Jungleing should be done at mid game getting buffs for those team fights just in case you need that extra punch and mana for your team. At level fifteen with Nunu you and 2 or more others should be able to take down the team buff for a great bonus.


    The skill set up I suggest is:

    1. Ice Blast

    3. Ice Blast

    7. Blood Boil
    8. Ice Blast
    9. Consume
    10. Ice Blast (max)
    11. Absolute Zero

  • Summoner's Rift Items

    The item setup is much the same but only 1 or 2 changes:

    7. Frozen heart (Upgrade from Glacial shroud with added bonuses and extra mana and armor)
    If facing an Ap team I suggest you swap Frozen heart for [item_icon=force of nature]force of nature (this will give you health regain and very good magic resist)

  • Jungling

    This is just some extra info on jungling

    In both maps I suggested when and sort of where to jungle but it is not necessary to do so especially if you have champion such as warwick. But it is still a good idea to jungle every now and again.

  • Working in a team

    Nunu does really well when with a ranged champion and is good with a melee champion as well, but he is suckish if he is fighting on his own especially with my build. My build is a very supportive tank build so its a very good idea to have someone always with you. :)
