  • Abilities

    Valiant Fighter
    One of the best Passive's ingame, in my opinion. Every hit you get, that pulls off 10% of your Maximum Life, is getting reduced by 50%(!) percent.

    Think about it:
    At 2K max health, EVERY hit you get that deals 200 or more Damage, gets reduced by 50%!

    Cho'Gath feasting you with his level 3 Feast? No problem! It only hurts 400, instead of 800! (Not MR incalculated!)

    "Any damage dealt to Poppy that exceeds 10% of her current health is reduced by 50%. This does not reduce damage from structures"

    Devastating Blow
    This is, in my opinion your Bread and Butter skill on TT, because people mainly play Melee Dps/Tanks on that map. If this skill is maxed, you can EASILY hit a 500 with this.

    "Poppy crushes her opponent, dealing attack damage (+0.6) plus 20/40/60/80/100 and 8% of her target's maximum health as magic damage. The bonus damage dealt cannot exceed 75/150/225/300/375"

    Cost: 55/55/55/55/55 Mana
    Range: 600

    [spell=Paragon of Damacia]
    A really awesome Ability to catch fleeing enemies, doing some extra damage, and easily downing Towers! Don't use this too much because in my guide I don't really get much Mana(-Regen) and this spell is really Mana costful.

    "Passive: Upon being hit or attacking an enemy, Poppy's armor and damage are increased by 1.5/2/2.5/3/3.5 for 5 seconds. This effect can stack 10 times.

    Active: Poppy gains max stacks of Paragon of Demacia and her movement speed is increased by 17/19/21/23/25% for 5 seconds"

    Cost: 70/75/80/85/90 Mana
    Range: 600

    Heroic Charge
    This is why I rather play Poppy on TT, instead of Summoners Rift. The lanes are smaller, and the jungle is full of Obstacles. Really awesome ability, doing already 125 dmg at level 1, within stunning them for 1.5 Seconds!

    "Poppy charges at an enemy and carries them for a short distance. The initial impact deals 50/75/100/125/150 (+0.4) magic damage. If they collide with terrain, her target takes 75/125/175/225/275 (+0.4) magic damage and will be stunned for 1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5/1.5 seconds"

    Cost: 60/65/70/75/80 Mana
    Range: 525

    Diplomatic Immunity
    Not the best Ultimate ingame, but still really worth it, if you can use it right.

    Use it for:
    - Escaping, when all Enemies are targeting you (Try casting it on some one, who doesn't have any Slow/Stun/Snare effects)
    - Tower Diving, to avoid Tower hits
    - Turn a 3v1 into a 1v1 for 6 Seconds

    "For 6/6/6 seconds, Poppy is immune to any damage and abilities from enemies other than her target.
    In addition, Poppy's attacks deal 20/30/40% increased damage to the marked target"

    Cost: 100/100/100 Mana
    Range: 900

  • Skilling Order

    If your enemies are faster than you, I recommend this Skilling order:

    If you're doing fine, and just need more Damage, use this order:

    So the Priority is:

    Diplomatic Immunity> Devastating Blow>[spell=Paragon of Damacia]> Heroic Charge

    The reason, why I prefer Paragon of Demacia over Heroic Charge is, that it helps you in Fights AND against Towers, while I use Heroic Charge to Stun, only.

  • Masteries + Runes

    The reason why I rather get 9 in Utility is, that I don't really need more Defense at all, but you can also go 9 into Defense, if you like to.

    For Runes:

    Greater Seal of Evasion 9x (+6.8% Dodge rate)
    Greater Quintessence of Insight 3x (+5.7 Magic Penetration)
    Greater Mark of Insight 9x (+8.6 Magic Penetration)
    Greater Glyph of Focus 9x (-5.9% Cooldown)

    The reason why I go Magic Penetration, instead of Armour penetration, is because you'll hit with your Devastating Blow much harder. If you don't like to get those, then get

    Greater Mark of Strength 9x (+2.9 attack damage)
    Greater Quintessence of Strength 3x (+6.8 attack damage)


  • Items

    Start off with either Doran's Shield + Health Potion or Boots of Speed + Health Potion. It's over to you, if you would like to get more Health within a small armor bonus and some HP Regen, or if you want to be faster, to catch the enemy with a Heroic Charge.

    After you got back to base, get a Vampiric Scepter, that will be build into a The Bloodthirster later on. It will provide you to win EVERY 1v1, if it's fully stacked.

    Then, get Ninja Tabi, if the Enemies have Melee DPS only, or [item=Mercury Threads], if you have problems getting Stunned/Slowed, or getting too much Damage from Mages (Rarely the case)

    After you got your Boots, rush the The Bloodthirster], with getting your B. F. Sword and then building it.

    If you still need more lifesteal, get another The Bloodthirster, else get The Black Cleaver if you need more Armor Penetration, or Banshee's Veil for more MR, or Thornmail against Champions, that are mainly doing Damage with Normal attacks (Warwick, Yi, etc.), else get Sunfire Cape for more Armor.

    So your Core items are:
    The Bloodthirster The Bloodthirster/ The Black Cleaver/ Banshee's Veil/ Thornmail/ Sunfire Cape

  • Summoner Abilities

    I usually go with Ghost and Flash to have Map Awareness, and be 100% safe against Ganks (usually not getting hit at ganks, because of using Wards)

    I take Flash because I use it to kick the Enemy back into my Team mates with Heroic Charge and of course, to escape.

    Other Viable Spells
    CleanseGood to clean stuns, getting you a benefit in 1v1s, against Sion e.g.
    ExhaustAwesome spell to slow the enemy and Blind them for 3 seconds.
    Ignite The best spell to get a First blood.

    Not so good, but still ok
    TeleportGetting back to your Lane is pretty good, but I'd rather walk some steps back.
    Clarity Poppy has really often a lack of Mana, but in my opinion it's just better to go back to base, than wasting a Summoner slot.

    Spells, you should not use
    Revive I guess I don't have to explain.
    [spell=Rally] Not worth for 3 People, in my opinion.
    Clairvoyance Just use wards?
    Smite You already do around 500 Damage against Lizard with Devastating Blow at level 5, so Smite wouldn't be worth it, only if you go for first Lizard, but then tell your Teammate to get it, instead of you.

  • Pros / Cons

    - Really strong early game
    - Awesome 1.5 Second + Extra damage stun
    - Easy to master
    - Can make a 1v3 into a 1v1
    - Beats like every champion in 1v1
    - Making tanks loose their HP in Seconds due to her Q ability

    - Getting bad late game, if not fed
    - Needs to have good Positionings for her E ability
    - Doesn't have a good Farming ability

  • Summary

    Poppy is a really underestimated Champion, and so you can go for a 1v1 against like every Champion, because the People just think, that Poppy isn't a good character and just underestimate you.
