Taric Build Guide
Taric, The Gem Knight: Tank Buildwritten by Zelie
Table of Contents
Gemcraft Be happy you have this passive, It's a built in Mana potion, only better! Since most of your gold will come from assists on kills, You can auto attack your way to a full mana bar. Imbue By far (in my mind) the best heal in the game. It scales quickly and not only heals your ally, but you too. If used on yourself, the healing is increased, making it a great way to keep yourself up if your escaping. Shatter One of your two damaging abilities, This AoE will help your entire team with its Armor buff, or if you use it, Debuff for the opponents team. Dazzle The second damaging ability Taric has. This ability is a great initiator and will help if you ever need to get the Ancient Golem buff since you'll be attacking him point blank. Radiance A great team ability. increasing your fellow heroes attack power is great for team fights, or for pushing towers since it also gives the power to creeps. But, keep an eye on your mana bar and turn it off when you don't need it anymore.
In this guide i'll show you how to get the most out of Taric's survivability. He will become a great tank who will keep his team up and running in the process.
Masteries + Runes
For masteries I use the following
For Runes use
Greater Mark of Insight This will allow us to do some damage with our spells we use.
Greater Seal of Vitality These will give us the health we need to stay alive longer in team battles.
Greater Glyph of Potency This will give us some AP that we wont get from items.
For you first item pick up Sapphire Crystal letting you have more mana and building twords your Glacial Shroud. You wont need any mana potions or health potions because of your passive, and heal.
On your first trip back, depending on how much money you have you can either buy your boots, Boots of Swiftness or buy Boots of Speed and a Chain Vest working twords your shroud.
By your third trip back you should have enough to finish both your shroud and your boots so we can start working on [item=Soul Shroud] buying our Mana Manipulator first.
On your next trip back buy the Giant's Belt or finish the shroud altogether. Then start buying the Cloth Armor's nessecary for Frozen Heart
After you finish your Heart, depending on whether your opponent's team has more Magic or Physical damage buy either [item=Force of Nature] or Thornmail
After your armor of choice buy the oh so popular Guardian Angel then finish off your set of items with either Force of Nature or Thormail depending on which you died before.
