In this guide i will be sharing my hybrid Taric build. With this build not only will you be able to constantly harass 1-2 enemy champions in a solo lane, but you'll also be able to help your team out with excellent healing and tank support end-game.
For this build i choose:
- Taric's passive is a great skill for minor mana regen, but to stay in the lane longer I always recommend Clarity to save a trip to the fountain.
- Ghost is always a great skill to run down enemy champions or to get out of tight situations. Ghost is also great for ganking. If your in a solo lane and you can manage to push your opposing enemy champion back to their turret, try using ghost to sprint across the map and help your teammates, this will hardly give your opposing champ time to call 'mia' bescause he was too busy trying to fend your minions off his tower.
Masteries + Runes
I chose these masteries to better help with mana, mana regen, and cooldown reduction. I've tried many other set-ups with masteries but this seems to be the most efficient.
Greater Mark of Insight
Greater Seal of Vitality
Greater Glyph of Potency
Greater Quintessence of Fortitude
First i always start off with Boots of Speed to easily make sure i get into position for gank and also to prepare for next item.
Upgrade Boots of Speed to Berserker's Greaves. Taric's heals cooldown is reduced by two seconds every melee attack. The faster your attack the more the cooldown is reduced and also more damage you do. This item should keep you in your lane for a good amount of time.
Next item your going to want to pick up is Stinger. This item will give you even more attack speed and will also reduce the cooldowns of your other skills as well. Also remember, Taric's passive returns mana on every melee strike, which is also a great reason to stack attack speed.
Okay so you've gotten your first two items pretty easily. Hopefully you've harassed your opponents enough that they are afraid to even 1v1 you. Lets start working on your next item.
Your going to be working to put together a [item=Soul Shroud] this will give you a big boost in HP, a little extra mana regen, and will also reduce your cooldowns a bit more. If your taking heavy damage in your lane i recommend picking up the Giant's Belt first to give you a good amount of HP. If mana seems to be more of an issue pick up the Mana Manipulator first. So now, after you've obtained your [item=Soul Shroud] you'll notice your abilities cooldowns are quiet convenient and you also have a good amount of HP to work with. Lets move on to the next item.
So you've boosted your HP, lowered your cooldowns, brought up your attack speed, and raised your mana regen a bit, now lets add the ability power. Start working on a [item=Rylai's Scepter]. This will boost your HP even more, give you an awesome amount of Ability Power, and also adds a slow to all of your spells. Again depending on how your game is going pick up the appropriate item. If you need more HP pick up the Giant's Belt first. If you want to start working on your ability power right away pick up either one of the ability power items first.
Lastly if the game last this long, upgrade your Stinger to Nashor's Tooth. This will lower your cooldowns 15% more and will also add to your mana regen. On top of that you will gain a bit more attack speed as well.
So here is the Recap:
1. Boots of Speed
2. Berserker's Greaves
6. Nashor's Tooth (Rarely make it this far but great upgrade)
Thanks for reading my Item guide for Taric. Try it out, leave some comments, and happy ganking! =)
