Introduction

Update #6: Ok so .... sorry for not updating the guide for a while but I was doing some stuff playing some sc2 on the side. But now I'm slowly getting back to Xin. Trying many diff builds read some other guides and a lot of guides don't really care for FM. But imo I can't live with out it and rushing for it. My reason its a play style I want to know that I can go balls out when I start a fight or helping in a fight and knowing I can A: slow down long enough for my team to catch up B: And live.

Now that being said I think I found a build thats prob just right for him a really great build imo

Xin Nerf

Base attack speed reduced to .658 from .679. This will also lower his attack speed gain from items and abilities by a similar percentage
Attack speed per level reduced to 2.6% from 2.8%
Audacious Charge
Area of effect radius reduced to 225 from 350
Slow percentage reduced to 20/25/30/35/40% from 40% at all levels
Slow duration reduced to 1.7 seconds from 2 seconds
Fixed a bug where Xin Zhao could appear to slow down during his charge if he attempted to move too much
Crescent Sweep base damage lowered to 125/250/375 from 150/275/400
Crescent Sweep percentage of current health damage lowered to 20% from 25% at all levels

Hey. I'm loolme and this is my first guide. The reason why I wanted to make a guide for Xin is because I see lots of fail builds out there such as pure AS.Whats my reasoning for fail AS builds. Well let me explain yes 3/6 skills go well with AS builds and all 6 if you use battle cry. So why not use Pure AS build? let me answer that with a other question where you going to get your damage from? Just your ult? Even if you get some AD items you just waste all your money. Now I'm not saying AS wont work on him I'm just saying there's much, much! more better ways to build him. With my build you have almost the same AS much better AD and crazy slows with survivability all that with 3 items. Crazy is not? And you can use the rest of your time to get more items to build for better AS or AD or more tanky.

My thoughts on Xin well I read on the forums and many people says he really OP and I would agree. And so does riot they are already plaining to nerf him. But until then use him and win every game like a pro :D

Plz note I'm not to good with my English so plz bear with me.

Abilities

[spell=Tireless Warrior]
Great for jungling and staying in lanes longer but late game with my build you wont notice it to much. Heals you on your 3 rd attack for a flat amount

Three Talon Strike
On your 3 rd hit you will knock them in the air deal bonus damage

Battle Cry
It will increase your attack speed (passive). When activated it will double your spell meaning if gives you .1 attack speed now it gives you .2

Audacious Charge
Rush at a enemy and deal AoE damage and slows You can go throw veigar stun wall

Crescent Sweep
This is what xin know for what makes people call him op his crazy ult do this right and you deal massive amounts of damage. Swing your spear around dealing a small AoE

Items

This is what you guys are here for right?

Well this is the core build
Frozen Mallet
Boots of Swiftness
Youmuu's Ghostblade

After that get what ever you need

Lots of CC's
Banshee's Veil

want more AD
Infinity Edge

want life steal with AS

Starting items

Doran's Shield + Health Potionx2 (This item is a really good starting item for most dps chars but not for Xin because of his passive, if your use to this then get it but it will take that much longer to get your FM)
Long Sword + Health Potion
Ruby Crystal (this is what I get first really no reason behind just something I'm use too.)
Meki Pendant This might be a good item to start off with you can also build it into a Chalice of Harmony xin does run low on mp pretty fast. Could help but there are better picks to go with.

Any of those starting item is great just pick w.e one you feel good with.

Next trip back you should have around 1.5 k or 1.2 k

Get
Phage
Boots of Speed
Sight Wardx2 if you have the money

you need to start using wards -___- don't matter what champ you play buy them there great and pays for them selfs. Can get you kills and save your behind. That is if you put them in the right place. I will update this guide later with pics to show where you should put them.

After that I would get
Giant's Belt and build it into a Frozen Mallet
Then get Long Swordx2 build into a The Brutalizer
After get Brawler's Gloves churn it into a Avarice Blade
Then Youmuu's Ghostblade after this I would get Infinity Edge
But those 3 items are your core after that get w.e you feel you need.

Now that you are done your build you have about 2.000 AS when you use your Youmuu's Ghostblade and Battle Crywith good AD and hp.

Just wanted to add a new item to the build and I really think these two items would work great on xin but still trying to find a good time to buy them and in what order but for now if your pwning every game and you have lots of money left you might want to by these

Atma's Impaler Really great item try it out works great mostly when your facing a heavy DPS team

I really think this item would work great on xin
Sword of the Occult Xin gets a lot of kills and hardly dies you should get 20 stacks in no time at all.

Ok so the above part I'm still going to keep in. Still a ok build to use it bit out dated.

So lets start off. 1 thing with me playing xin is that I have to rush Frozen Mallet and in this build will be no different. It gives so much that there's really no reason to take it. Makes your CC even better crazy amount of hp and a little nice AD on the side. It works so well with Atma's Impaler that does are really the only two AD dmg you really need you can start getting AS after.

First game to get would be

Doran's Shield + Health Potionx2
Ruby Crystal
Long Sword + Health Potion

All good items to start off with really no bad pick here but getting Doran's Shield can set your build back just a bit. Note its such a great starting item and if you think your not going to do well in your lane you should take as it will help you stay in your lane longer so in the end it can pay for itself.

First trip back

Depending on how much gold you got

Been farming well got a kill or two go for

Phage + Boots of Speed or Sight Ward

Weren't farming so well got kill once or twice

Long Sword+ Boots of Speed or Sight Ward

when you get the money you can build it into a Phage

after that you should go for the

Giant's Belt and build it into a Frozen Mallet

Build your Boots of Speed to fit the game your in

You should know what boots to by now so I will leave that up to you

Now you prob thinking wtf this is the same thing as above well your right about that but now it changes

Ok so now you got your boots and your Frozen Mallet

go get a Atma's Impaler why this well it works so well with your your Frozen Mallet and you would see why you need the crits for

next up on the item list is the Phantom Dancer

Now let me take a bit of your time to explain why is this build so great all your items working one with each other one item giving the other item a reason to be there making a very strong item comp. Its kinda like how [item=Force of Nature] works so well with Spirit Visage.

Now get all of the items work so well with xin alone making one great item build for xin its my fav item build so far

Build Examples

This is normally go for great for most games. You prob wont get all of those but I know you would be able to get a IE

This one is great for a heavy CC's team and most or some of their cc's champ's. And most of them would have lots of mana and your wits end will pretty eat them alive with your great AS you would take away all their mp great isn't it

Good for a very buff team such as jax, shen and ram but this is very costly and prob wont even get past the 3rd item but if you have the first 3 items ur set

Skilling Order

This is what I use to go as to make up for the lack of as at the start but I found going the other way is better
Pros / Cons

Pros:
Very tanky
Can be build many different ways
Very strong in Team fights
Has great CC's and slows
Good chaser
Can tower dive
Has built in "life steal"

Cons:
Really none atm till the nerf comes out
Creep Jungling

Well this is one of the few champs that can jungle Well I didn't work to much on jungling but if you guys really want me to do a guide on jungling with xin then i will but till then I will just use the build from above.
Working in the team

Xin is very power in team fights if you know what your doing then you should win all of your team fights so... what to do in a team fight well if the team fight ( going to call it t.f for now on) has not started and everyone on your team got your back then rush in with Audacious Charge then use Crescent Sweep once you have done this you did about 5 k damage all together at this point you should think to your self is all the enemy champs running away now? If so stay and use Three Talon Strike with Battle Crysoon your Audacious Charge should be up when it is use it to finish off the runners.

Now lets say they stay, are they all attacking you? Well I say let them cause of your bonus armor and MR but after about 2 sec flash out and let your tank deal with them as soon as your safe from harms way rush back in there with you combo Three Talon Strike, Battle Cry, Three Talon Strike and then use Audacious Charge to finish off
Farming

This is easy just last hit and if you wont to clear up a whole creep wave use your ult don't be scared not use it cause your Battle Cry gives you great Cd's
Summoner Abilities

I would get Flash and Ghost

I would get flash because after the you start your team fight you should flash out and run back in (only if all 5 champs are going after you) you can also use it to get away

same idea for ghost to get away can also be use to help chase a enemy

those two are the spells I would get. Mostly cause im use to it. There are other stuff you can get two such as:
Exhaust use this to taken down a yi or something along those lines
Teleportgreat if u don't want to lose your exp and gold
Ignite Can no longer be Cleanse so its a great thing to have for getting more kills

any of those summoner spell would be great on Xin
