Introduction
Hi, i'm SkullDicer, and this is my first real guide. The main point of this guide is to help you, so please don't rate it down if you didn't like it or it didn't help you, rather make a comment and give me your opinion (Constructive Criticism) so then i can change it or add more to it. In this guide i'll be telling you about Sion, I've played against many Sion's and i've yet to see one go up against mine and win, i definitely don't play Sion at the top level but i play him comfortably at about 1500 elo using the items and tips i've put in this guide. So please, Enjoy.
Note: I can also play AP Sion and if i have enough requests i will add an AP section to this guide.

These are my general laning masteries (21/9/0)
They work well but if you feel you might need to change it a bit then go ahead.

Runes
x9
A MUST for any DPS/Carry. - Lets you hit through the enemies armour.x9
A great choice is flat armor, it make you less squishy and give your more survivability. It really helps his early game and its a very good choice if your going to jungle.x9 or
x9 Magic Resist will give you more survivability against casters especially in team fights, which will be mid-late games. From lv 10 forwards, The MR/Lv will give you more then the flat MR, but it really is your choice which one you prefer.
x3
Fortitude runes are a great idea because of the extra health but also also helps with the Atmas Impaler passive.
-
Summoner Abilities
I usually go with either
Exhaust and
Ghost
but I've found various other combination's work quite well. When jungling replace Exhaust with Smite.
Flash - Works well if needing to get out of battle if the enemies start targeting you or if you just can't catch them for a stun.
Ignite - Useful if you just can't catch the enemy and their very low hp.
Smite - An obvious choice if jungling.
Teleport - Useful if you need to move around the map fast.
Clarity - Sion does have a very small mana pool and it's a good choice but its definetely not a priority spell.
Not RecommendedSurge - Surge isn't that bad when you see what it gives you, but it's not right for this build.
Promote - Promote could work well if you need to push turrets and you don't have a tank, but i wouldn't take it.
Heal - Useful early game but late game will be useless.
Clairvoyance - You need your summoner abilities and this one just isn't for you.
Revive - Revive.. no..

Skilling Order
This is my general skilling order.
This is my skilling order when i jungle.

Items
NOTE: Throughout the laning phase, its always a good idea to buy health pots.
ALWAYS BUY WARDS, you may think its the supports job but it's still a good idea to buy them yourself aswell.Start off with getting
Cloth Armor &
Health Potion x5 or
Boots of Speed &
Health Potion x3
The first item your going to want to get is Boots (See below for best boots for your situation.)After you've gotten your boots you want to start building your actual core build starting with buying your
Zeal and then turning it into a
Phantom Dancer. Phantom Dancer is a great first proper item since it provides Crit chance, Attack Speed and Movement Speed. You don't need an item like Infinity Edge first as you already have more damage then nearly everyone else because of your skill Enrage.
The next item you want to buy is an
Atma's Impaler as it gives more crit chance and it gives your amour which will help soften the blows you will have been feeling at this point, it also gives you a great passive which works key in hole with your skill Enrage's passive.
At this point you will need more damage, Enrage is maxed and your damage isn't getting any higher by itself. Its time to get your
Infinity Edge starting with the
B. F. Sword first. Again, Crit chance, damage and now Crit Damage which will make your Crits do a hell of a lot more damage. By this point you should have around 73% crit chance. which will essentially make you crit every 3/4 hits.
Now you may be getting focused and your ultimate might be down so you need some lifesteal to keep your health up.
The Bloodthirster is great as it gives you the lifesteal you need, damage and an awesome passive which gives you extra of each everytime you kill a minion or creep.
Now this last item is up to you and the item should depend majorly on how the game is progressing if its still even going at this point. If your still getting focused and need more survivability then i'd be going for either a
Warmog's Armor or
Banshee's Veil. Especially the Banshee's Veil if your getting taken down by AP Users.
Or maybe at this point your just need more DPS, then go for another
Phantom Dancer. It will provide the extra attack speed you want and should make your Crit Chance close to if not 100% which means critting every single hit.

Boot Choice
Boot choices are generally a personal preference and affected by team strategy and compositionMercury's Treads
A pair of boots that most Sion's go for and i'm not suprised, Perfect when theres a whole lot of CC coming from the other team. These are generally the preferred boots i'll go for.Berserker's Greaves
The generally unaccepted boot of choice, great for attack speed. The pair of boots really does give good attack speed for its cost. These boots are best bought early on for the attack speed bonus.Boots of Swiftness
Awesome for running / chasing.Ninja Tabi
Good pair of boots, absorbs 10% of damage and gives an armor bonus. -
Jungling
My jungle sion play style is similar to most jungles.
Start with
Cloth Armor &
Health Potion x 5.
And pick
Enrage first.
You want to start at your Blue Golem with a leash from preferably mid but top or bot (depending on your side) will do fine as well.
Make sure Enrage is activated from the start and as soon as the golem starts attacking you, use your first health potion.
Smite the golem when it's 445 health or lower.
You'll be level 2 once you've finished off that camp. Now your choice is to either gank or continuing to jungle. Look at your closest 2 lanes, see if they're gankable (If the enemy is pushing), If so pick
Cryptic Gaze as your second skill and go gank, make sure the laner is ready.
If your not going to gank, then pick
Death's Caress and continue jungling, using it whenever at a creep's camp. then next level pick the skill you didn't pick at level 2 and gank or continue jungling. Note that both your stun (Cryptic Gaze) and your Shield (Death's Caress) both use quite a bit of mana and your mana pool is quite low. So make sure you don't waste them when not neccesary.
When you go back the first 2 items your going to want are
Boots of Speed and
Wriggle's Lantern so get those when you can and make sure you use the passive of the lantern (places a ward down). After that continue the normal item build and when it's time, sell your Wriggle's Lantern.
