Introduction
Welcome Summoners.
Before we start i am not expirienced in writing guides so criticism is welcome. English isn't my mothertongue also, so don't be to upset if some phrases sound a little bit weird.
I decided to write this solo top guide because i like his playstyle a lot and want more people to learn and enjoy the ways of the butcher of the sands.

Masteries + Runes
Masteries:
As Renekton is a Damage dealer with a lot of early game strength, i decided to go for 21/0/9 masteries.
I prefer utility to defense because of the extra 2% movement speed. Being faster than your enemy is essential as a melee damage dealer. If you are new to renekton feel free to pick the extra armor/mr and extra hitpoints in the defensive tree to make you a bit more durable in early game.
Runes:
Marks: 9x
Greater Mark of Strength
Seals: 9x
Greater Seal of Strength
Glyphs: 9x
Greater Glyph of Shielding
Quintessences: 3x
Greater Quintessence of Swiftness
I chose this setup because i really enjoy being able to chase down my enemy and being able to run away easily when necessary. 6.5% movementspeed bonus and boots at the beginning result in 395 movement. this way you are even faster than some heroes with berserker greaves or similar boots.
In my opinion flat attack damage marks are better than armor penetration marks because renektons spells benefit from attack damage.
Alternative Rune Setup (For those of you who don't have the runes mentioned above or don't want to afford them ;)):
Marks:
Greater Mark of Desolation,
Seals:
Greater Seal of Evasion or
Greater Seal of Resilience or
Greater Seal of Defense.
You can pick either dogde or amor, whatever you prefer.
Glyphs:
Greater Glyph of Warding or
Greater Glyph of Celerity.
Quintessences:
Greater Quintessence of Strength or
Greater Quintessence of Desolation or
Greater Quintessence of Fortitude.
Do not Pick:
Greater Mark of Alacrity or any other runes with attack speed as you won't autohit that much.

Items
I build Renkton as a Tanky DPS Bruiser who shines in early and mid game and still hurts in lategame.
Recommended Items:
Youmuu's Ghostblade: This Blade has everything the Crocodile needs! Armor penetration, Attack Damage, Cooldown reduction. The Unique Active helps you chase down people when your movement speed quintessences aren't enough ;)
Warmog's Armor +
Atma's Impaler: The famous and well hated Atmog's. These two items together allow you to dish out tons of damage while taking quite a beating!
Mercury's Treads/
Ninja Tabi: Not much to say here. If you face a CC heavy team buy Mercs. If you face a AD heavy Team buy Ninja Tabis.
Hexdrinker: Altough many people don't like this item, it helps you out quite a lot. It gives you a bit MR and extra Attack Damage to scare the enemies even more.
Trinity Force: Gives an extra damage boost to your auto attacks. The increased run speed, the additional attack speed, attack damage and health is nice too.
Frozen Mallet: More tankiness, slowing the enemy and more AD.
Situational Items:
Spirit Visage: Buy this item if you lane against an AP Carry and have problems staying in lane due to his harass.
[item=Force of Nature]: A good choice if the enemy mages are well farmed/fed.
Guardian Angel: If you are the primary target, this angel can save your day!
Infinity Edge: Tons of damage but no defensive stats. I recommend this item only if you are far ahead.
Last Whisper: Buy it if the enemies stack armor and your team lacks damage.
Randuin's Omen: Nice item against AD heavy teams. The active Skill is also very nice to stop enemies from fleeing.
Do not buy:
The Bloodthirster: I do not recommend a Bloodthirster as you won't benifit that much from the life steal. Cull the meek provides enough healing in my opinion.

Skilling Order

Summoner Abilities
I recommend
Flash and
Exhaust
Also viable:
Ghost,
Cleanse,
Ignite
I do not recommend using any other summoner spells than these.

Additional items:
Against an well balanced team:

Against an AD heavy team:

![]()
For the last item you can choose between
,
and ![]()
Against an AP heavy team:
[item_icon=Force of Nature]
For the last item you can choose between
,
and
.
Buy Hexdrinker if you need a bit of extra damage.
If you face Rammus, Shen or Supression Champions like Malzahar getting a Quicksilver Sash can turn the tides in a teamfight.
If you need extra life and the spellblock (e.g. against Annie's bear Tibbers) get Banshee's Veil.
If your team lacks damage:
/![]()
I would recommend Last Whisper only if the enemy team stacks armor.

How to lane as Renekton:
Level1: Go lane, lasthit the creeps and use Cull the Meek to heal against harass and damage any careless hero.
Level2: Now you can build up rage, use Slice and Dice to dash towards your enemy, harass him with Cull the Meek and use Slice and Dice to dash out again.
Level3+: With Level2 your harass was annoying. With Level3 your harass is pure HELL! Build up Rage, Slice and Dice towards your target, use Ruthless Predator and Cull the Meek. then Slice and Dice away!
As soon as you hit Level6 you can bait your opponent in lane to towerdive you. With the 300 extra HP from Dominus and the clever use of your spells and summoner spells you can survive almost any enemy that is greedy enough to towerdive you.
