  • Abilities

    Stone Skin
    Wukong's armor and magic resistance are increased for each nearby enemy champion.


    Crushing Blow
    Wukong swings his mighty staff with incredible speed, crushing his opponent. This attack deals additional physical damage and reduces the enemy's Armor for a short duration.


    Decoy
    Wukong becomes stealthed for 1.5 seconds. An uncontrollable decoy is left behind that will deal magic damage to enemies near it after 1.5 seconds.

    Wukong dashes toward a target enemy and sends out images to attack up to 2 additional enemies near his target, dealing physical damage to each enemy struck.


    Cyclone
    Wukong's staff grows outward and he spins it around, dealing damage and knocking up enemies. Wukong gains speed over the duration of the spell.

    Greetings summoners, I am Venser of Urborg; once again i invite you to read my guide this time on Wukong-the Monkey King.

  • Wukong Gameplay: Champion Spotlight Featuring Phreak



    Pay close attention to how he utilizes Decoy to escape simply hitting "s" to juke and head to brush. Great tips watch closely as this pro takes Wukong into battle coming out with some serious kills.

  • Masteries + Runes

    Phreak suggest's going 0/22/9 i have followed this build making this Champion very beefy and tanky.
    But this gives Wukong almost nil in damage unless of course you are Phreak and are ungodly at this game.

    I suggest a 12/17/1 or 17/12/1 with 1 in [mastery=haste] maxing out Resistance and Hardiness the rest of the points going into your attack tree.

    IF you wish to follow Phreak's advice it adds so much to his survivability if you get good with him you will be able to get kills even with lower damage output... however i would argue that masteries, and runes are almost insignificant when examined closely...

    For example to make myself not seem like an idiot. The offensive mastery 21'st point in Havoc grants you exactly 4% increased damage...however in the defensive tree Tenacity prevents 4% damage sooo what is 4-4? anyone know? its 0 there is no advantage in either tree other than trying to counter someone else who is defensive or offensive. I know it sounds silly but the increases are insignificant; HOWEVER, They obviously help.

    I suggest taking Phreak's build for masteries because he's played the game longer and he play's it every day.

  • Skilling Order



    This isnt exactly the same as Phreak's but it is how i like to level I love having every ability by level 3 so i can do some burst damage and then escape as soon as possible.

  • Summoner Abilities

    Hands Down:
    Flash and Ghost / Cleanse

    lots of escape...
    To save you some reading that you won't do I will skip explaining why these 3 are the best....when they obviously counter the current meta

  • Build Example

    Start with building this for phreak's build

    For my build I have yet to test it i have only played Phreak's way. :S

  • Farming

    his ult and Nimbus Strike are great for farming minions

  • Pros / Cons

    pros: very tanky
    lots of burst damage
    CC ult
    low CDR escape spell
    passive gets better with more enemies around encouraging teamfighting
    ARP and CRIT override lowdamage

    Cons: not a lot of damage if built tanky
    Oracle takes care of escape
    stuns stop him in his tracks
    silences stop him in his tracks
    blinds stops his Q

  • Working in the team

    flashing in or using Nimbus Strike to initiate followed by Cyclone is a great way to get the enemy team knocked into the air and unable to retaliate for a few seconds...as your team comes in to assist you, Decoy away and come back in for some kills using Crushing Blow

  • Summary

    Wukong is a fun champion to play has a lot of initiation and burst damage followed up with a CC ult to boot.
