| Every seven attacks you will be able to cast an ability for free.
| This is what makes Nunu such a good jungler. It's a low cooldown smite that heals you.
| Blood Boil
| This speeds up your jungle and what makes Nunu such a good counter jungler. It gives a nice Movespeed and Attack Speed buff helps your range carry out a lot in team fights.
| Ice Blast
| This is your ganking tool. This spell is what makes Nunu ganks so powerful. It also acts as a forever slow. When in the jungle DO NOT spam this on jungle creeps it will OOM you even if you have blue. Only use it when your passive lets you. When ganking, spam it on the person you're trying to kill.
| Absolute Zero
| This does a lot of damage if it's full channeled, but 90% of the time you will have to cancel it early because someone will walk out of it. This will make your level six ganks very strong. In a team fight just pop this and it will make people use CC on you which is what you want. You're a tank, more CC on you means less CC on your team.
If you're ganking a lot use this
If there aren't a lot of opportunities to gank use this.
Masteries + Runes
Greater Mark of Alacrityx8
Speeds up your jungle. A fast jungler is a good jungler.
Greater Mark of Desolationx1
These with the quints is 12 Armor pen and Puppies, Wraiths, Double Golems, and the little guys next to blue and red buff have 12 armor so you do true damage to those and once again fast jungle is a good jungle.
Greater Seal of Resiliencex9
You take less physical damage which is always good.
Greater Glyph of Shieldingx9
Doesn't help in the jungle but the 40 Magic Resistance at level 18 is nice.
Greater Quintessence of Desolationx3
Get these for the same reason as armor penetration reds.
You might look at these and think "why don't you max out Perseverance, Strength of Spirit, and [mastery=Quickness],but get Good Hands?" The reason I chose Good Hands is because everyone dies in League, it's inevitiable. The one point in Perseverance is just so you can move up into tier two. [mastery=Plentiful bounty] is greater than max rank Strength of Spirit because it allows you to be a more aggresive counter jungler. The reason I chose only two points in [mastery=quickness] is because with two move speed quintessences and starting with boots you have plenty of movement speed.
These starting items are for counter jungling (only works when there is an enemy jungler.)
Start with Boots of Speed, Health Potionx1, and Sight Wardx1
This start will be a non-counter jungling route
Start with Boots of Speed, and Health Potionx3
Ionian Boots of Lucidity Banshee's Veil
I normally try to get two Philosopher's stones on my first trip back. You also want to be buying wards and Oracle's Elixirs. It's your job as a tank/support character to keep both of these up to give your team vital information and to kill the enemy's wards.
Items to support your team:
Aegis of the Legion [item=Stark's fervor]
Good items against AD teams:
Frozen Heart Randuin's Omen
Good items against AP team: Abyssal Scepter Spirit Visage
If the game goes on longer you can get some of these:
Rabadon's Deathcap Void Staff
Route for counter jungling (only works if there is an enemy jungler.)
Start at wolves. Consume the little puppy and eave it. Leave the two little wolves alive and move on towards the blue buff. Get someone on your team to leash the golem. To help your jungling speed, auto attack the blue buff until you're at half life then Consume. Save your Smite until it is at about 460 health and you will one shot it. You will get level two from this, so get your Blood Boil. Clear the rest of the blue camp and proceed towards the enemy's wraiths. Use Consume on the big and leave the little ones alone. Start heading towards double golems and ward their red buff on the way. Kill both the golems and you will be level 3. Get Ice Blast and head towards top for a gank if it is needed. If not or after your gank, go back to your wolves, Consume a little wolf, then head towards your wraith camp. At your wraith camp consume the big one and kill the small ones. After that move onto your red buff and your double golems, then try to gank again. Once you get double golems and a gank you can just run around killing jungle creeps. Don't forget to keep your wards up!
Smite You cannot jungle without it.
Flash This is a better pick than ghost because you have a build in ghost already and flash allows you to get better positioning for your ultimate.
Ghost You have one already with Blood Boil.
Exhaust Ice Blast slows movement and attack speed so there are better options.
[spell=rally] Is this viable for any champion?
Heal You have Consume.
Teleport Your ganks will come from the jungle so you do not need to teleport in and lose the element of surprise.
Clairvoyance A pure support can run Clairvoyance. While Clairvoyance is an OKAY pick for nunu, Flash is still more vital.
Clarity As a jungler you will almost always have a blue buff, so you should not be going OOM.
Pros / Cons
