Introduction
I still play Alistar the most. I like redesigning my build each time I think it's possible to improve. It's been a long time since I updated and that's why I resetted my changelog. Please feel free to give comments or ask questions. I like improving myself and others.
Many people tell me I play Alistar different from other people or aggresive Alistar. So I thought livestreaming would be the perfect way to show people why and how I play this build. The first video I created for this guide isn't that great, at the end of the game I didn't have very much of my build and still 3500g left. But it is a start and you probably will enjoy what you see.

I uploaded my second movie (just after the other one) and I like to show you this one. It's not going so well, but I think this is when I could show you the most. We win after a surprising surrender, but we defended very well. I think the turnaround is around 30 minutes. We start showing them what we've got and what we can do if we work as a team. I made good use of my ultimate by cleansing galio's ultimate twice in a teambattle (makes all effects on other teammates disappear as well) and once by cleansing leblanc's stun (yi approaches and I surprise stun him immidiately after I got stunned).

Alistar is forbidden for solo-ers
If you really want to kill you shouldn't take Alistar. I am not gonna repeat how to play Alistar, I think it is pretty obvious to be a helper and creater of assists instead of being the one with a high K/D-ratio. I write this guide for an up to date masterypage, runes and items. I think Alistar is not played as much as it should and maybe this guide could make you understand why.

Abilities
| [spell=Colossal Strength] |
| This makes u a perfect candidate for destroying towers, use this in combination with armor penetration and unbreakable will. |
|
Pulverize |
| Best skill for alistar, use it well and make whole teams get stunned for two seconds. we won't be upgrading this skill until level 10 because of the manacost. |
|
Headbutt |
| The only way to kill, Use it to put squisy characters in the center of your team. It's the only way to kill. Use it for stealing, u give them the kills back with your stuns. |
|
Triumphant Roar |
| Nice healing power if you have enough mana. Heal minions to push with a big team of minions. |
|
Unbreakable Will |
| The ultimate which makes you stronger and makes you allmost invincible. |

Summoner Abilities
Flash This is the perfect skill for Alistar, the best way to use it is to surprise enemies with a fast stun, make sure a teammate is around to help.
Ghost Alistar isn't the best killer, ghost can help you chase them.
Both these skills are perfect for killing and for running away.

Skilling Order
Frozen Heart and Ghostblade Build
1. Start with pulverize, this is just the best skill.
2. Second should be headbutt, if you can try to early kill with those two skills and your laning partner
3. roar is very useful at this moment, they probably damaged you in the fight so push to cooldown the heal.
4. headbutt
5. headbutt
6. unbreakable will (at this moment you are perfectly ready to bash into a tower)
7. headbutt
8. roar (if you dont need health yet, take pulverize)
9. outmax headbutt first, make sure you get roar on level two and then outmax pulverize.
Mana Manipulator Build
1. Start with pulverize, this is just the best skill.
2. Second should be roar, u don't have health potions so this is the best possibility.
3. headbutt is very useful at this moment, use this to make easier kills by pushing the enemies to your laning partner.
4. headbutt
5. headbutt
6. unbreakable will (at this moment you are perfectly ready to bash into a tower)
7. headbutt
8. roar (if you dont need health yet, take pulverize)
9. outmax headbutt first, make sure you get roar on level two and then outmax pulverize.

Why which build?
Why Ghostblade Build
I found out my tanking abilities weren't enough for me anymore. I tried out ghostblade and it works perfect in combination with my ultimate. When I'm in endgame I try to buy my ghostblade and destroy each tower when I have the chance. This is the only build I play right now and it works perfectly.
Why Frozen Heart Build
This build is cheaper in the end and gives better results in normal games. Allways enough mana because of the chalice of harmony.
Why Mana Manipulator Build
When laning with a hero which uses mana, the mana manipulator can boost your lanemate. So if you have a friend like me playing the heat n serve build for gangplank, it could make him a critting machinegun with unlimited mana. Other characters could do something different with their mana, but could also be useful. Try it out with your friends and have awesome laningcombo's.

Ghostblade Build
Final Build (Ghostblade Build)
Chalice of Harmony part of the corebuild
Boots of Swiftness part of the corebuild
Randuin's Omen heart of gold part of the corebuild, the rest is if you need cooldownreduction and armor.
[item=Force of Nature] is for the magicresistance, movementspeed and healthregen
Youmuu's Ghostblade is for the attackspeed, armorpenetration, movementspeed and attackdamage. Towers will crumble!
See Ghostblade Build in championbuilder
Start
Meki Pendant
2x
Health Potion
Those items will get you time to get like 1000-1300g. Meki Pedant is for the manaregen and the Health Potions will help you get to level three without the need of roar, also u can use them to regen your mana (stop spamming roar for a while).
1000-1300g
Heart of Gold
Boots of Speed
1150g
Chalice of Harmony
Boots of Swiftness
Way to invincibility
Randuin's Omen
[item=Force of Nature]
Youmuu's Ghostblade
Depending on how you are doing you buy magic resistance, armor or attackdamage. When finishing Randuin's omen you have more itemspot so in most situations this is the first to upgrade. When u are level 18 you should have bought your ghostblade. This item is perfect in endgame.
If the game is still going you can buy a
Zeal or finish it with elixirs.

Frozen Heart Build
Final Build (Frozen Heart Build)
Chalice of Harmony (Perfect manaitem)
Heart of Gold (For the lack of gold) sold for
Thornmail and/or
Sunfire Cape (When u become invincible u can buy those items to help your team doing some damage)
Boots of Swiftness (I focus on movement speed in fights, this is why I prefer this above mobility boots)
Frozen Heart (39.95% cooldown reduction makes you the perfect supporter)
[item=Force of Nature] (Another boost for the movement speed and a great healthregeneration)
Elixir of Agility (Most common item I buy and then we finish the game)
See Frozen Heart Build in championbuilder
Start
Meki Pendant
2x
Health Potion
Those items will get you time to get like 1000-1300g. Meki Pedant is for the manaregen and the Health Potions will help you get to level three without the need of roar, also u can use them to regen your mana (stop spamming roar for a while).
1000-1300g
Heart of Gold
Boots of Speed
1150g
Chalice of Harmony
Boots of Swiftness
Way to invincibility
After this you buy in following order (If their team is doing pretty much magic damage, buy the negatron cloak first):
Glacial Shroud This gives the cooldown you need.
Frozen Heart Outmax the cooldown reduction by taking another five percent.
[item=Force of Nature] This gives you extra movement speed which I intend to with this build, Also it gives u magic resist. If the enemyteam is mostly magic damage, buy this item before upgrading glacial shroud.
Finish it!
Elixir of Agility,
Elixir of Fortitude or
Oracle's Elixir If the itembuild isnt enough, try elixers to finish it.
Thornmail or
Sunfire Cape If you still can't win you could always sell your heart of gold for a damageitem like Thornmail or Sunfire Cape
Guardian Angel This is the worst nightmare for the enemy, when they have finally killed the cow you come back to life. I don't need this item anymore, but I have used it quiet a lot before.
[item=Stark's Fervor] If you really dont't know what to buy, try helping your team with a stark's fervor if your team doesn't have one allready.
-
Mana Manipulator Build
Final Build (Mana Manipulator Build)
[item=Soul shroud] (Perfect manaitem and gives cooldown reduction)
Heart of Gold (For the lack of gold) upgraded to
Randuin's Omen (Slows the enemy and its attackspeed which makes it easier to kill or run away, also it completes the cooldown reduction)
Boots of Swiftness (I focus on movement speed in fights, this is why I prefer this above mobility boots)
[item=Force of nature] (Another boost for the movement speed and a great healthregeneration)
Sheen or
Tear of the Goddess(Mana item, Sheen would be perfect for some extra damage)
Elixir of Agility,
Elixir of Fortitude or
Oracle's Elixir (If the itembuild isnt enough, try elixers to finish it)
See Mana Manipulator Build in championbuilder
Start
Mana Manipulator
Those item will get you time to get like 1000-1300g. Mana manipulator will give u and your lanemate a manaboost. And at level 2 you can get roar.
1000-1950g
Heart of Gold
Boots of Swiftness
1800g
[item=Soul shroud]
Somewhere in between
When u get the hang of it u start noticing a lack of mana will keep you from owning. At this moment you should have bought some mana. It fills an itemspot though, so the longer it can wait the better.
Sapphire Crystal This will help u enough for a while.
Sheen This will be the best upgrade possible, but sometimes it's still not enough mana, in those cases don't upgrade to sheen.
Tear of the Goddess Here is the end of the manaproblems.
Way to invincibility
After this you can start buying armor or magicresistance:
Warden's Mail This is if the enemy does most physical damage.
or
[item=Force of Nature] This is if the enemy does most magical damage. This also gives you extra movement speed which I intend to with this build.
Still take too much damage[/n]
Guardian Angel Makes you survive more fights then the enemy wants it to. Even though, I only buy this if the enemy is to fed. Normally I am tanky enough without it. Most of the time I start buying Elixir of agility after I got Randuin's Omen and force of nature, this will help u slay towers (and enemies) faster.

5 ways to feed your teammates
[b]Open your mind for these possibilities at all times
1. Use stun and headbutt to put them in dangerous places.
2. Use flash in offense and follow with a stun and headbutt.
3. Use ghost in offense and be sure you are near the enemy in notime, this is usefull by allmost all enemies (who isn't running away for an alistar and his hungry children behind him).
Don't use this too often, but if you really want/need the kill (Happends to me when I'm angry...)
4.1 Go to a lane where your teammates allmost finished someone off.
4.2 Use ghost and unbreakable will to run through the tower.
4.3 Headbutt the enemy into a wall and use stun and some auto-attacks to finish him off.
4.4 Walk back to your teammates like nothing happend and say MOOO (or Torro Torro if you have matadorskin) to your enemies.
For the hardcore alistar
5.1 Be aware you are Alistar with a tankbuild.
5.2 I said be aware you are Alistar! This means you can push people into towers, teammates, turrets (heimerdinger), minionwaves (you just heal them and they become a pretty big defenseline when you are alone).
5.3 Just use pulverize and headbutt at every moment this is possible.
Secret sixth
6. It is possible to headbutt someone through a wall (at certain spots in the game), it is all about the timing and correct spot you and your enemy are in. This makes it allmost impossible to do this every time, but it grants the opportunity sometimes. I know a few spots in the game and it is very funny if u can manage to do it twice in a row. If you understand how the secret sixth work (bug?) you also understand when it happends when you don't want the enemy to get through. Make your teammates happy and try to beware of this at all times.
