I play karthus for aprox. 4-5 months in a row so i can tell that i can score with no sweat 12-23/2/10.
Karthus is the most strategical char ever ,you dont have to cast ALL of your opness just like that you have to save mana,calculate Requiem,assist your team. I will upload some vids too for more in depth approach. The attitude of more player in league that they are bitching about your ulty is hilarious and mind blowing shit , just dont mind them fart them and play ,thats all you have to do.
With the skill explanetion that i made i dont have to say too much but if you feel that something is missing just tell me to add it(if you have any question about some gank strategies or using your champ propperly you can post a comment and i will reply to you as well as im gonna add it in my guide). I dont care if this guide will be rated ro commented as a badass guide i just wanna add some nice stuff to make Karthus's players more cunning, thats all!
Death Defied Upon death Karthus DEFIES the fact that he died for 8 seconds. This passive is way to unique for me this is what karthus is all about, upon death you can spam some spells to harass or kill an enemy champ but the true trick that lies within this passive is to mostly secure your ULTY(While the passive of karthus is active you can not be a target nor being disabled or else).This passive offers no longer death recap which was at 20%. Lay Waste Karthus unleashes a delayed blast at a location, dealing damage to nearby enemies.
Creates a delayed blast at Karthus' cursor position. After 0.5 seconds, deals 40/60/80/100/120 (+0.3) magic damage to each nearby enemy, this deals double damage if it hits only a single unit.
According karthus, this spell is you primary harass tool , farm tool(early-mid game) and kill tool you might say your ulty is you kill tool but lets face it every 2 mins you want to get a kill? nahhhhhhhhh you must master this skillbomd. For this spell there are some way too cool tricks to do:
1.To get the double damage you have to aim LEFT OR RIGHT your target IF its not alone.
2.If things goes rough then use it to keep you enemy away from farmin this will give you lane control as well as gank pluses.
3.The mana cost is way to hilarious to worry about so keep casting it near the bushes to check for ganks :O.
Wall of Pain Karthus creates a passable screen of leeching energy. Any enemy units that walk through the screen have their move speed, armor, and magic resistance reduced for a period.
Creates a 800/900/1000/1100/1200 distance wide wall at target location. Enemy champions that pass through the wall have their armor and magic resistance reduced by 15/20/25/30/35 and movement speed reduced by 40/50/60/70/80% (their move speed slowly returns to normal over the duration). The wall lasts 7 seconds.
The guy that thought of that spell was AWESOME couse this spell offers you map awereness CC and one thing to love this spell more is to get your enemies naked for more sexy gank-kill-fun-abuse-violence and all that because you can bring down the MR and Armor of theres.
Defile Karthus passively steals energy from his victims, gaining mana on each kill. Alternatively, Karthus can surround himself in the souls of his prey, dealing damage to nearby enemies, but quickly draining his own mana.
Toggle Off: When Karthus kills a unit, he restores 20/27/34/41/48 mana.
Toggle On: Drains 30/42/54/66/78 Mana to deal 30/50/70/90/110 (+0.25) magic damage to nearby enemies each second.

Defile ah yes the one spell that announce to the enemy "come closer you tard and i'll make sure that you'll like it,promise". This spell can be used as a farm tool at late game and to assist your team to use LESS of there skills LESS auto atacks but makes you MORE vurnerable because you will waste a nice amount of mana, what the hell its wothing the pain.
Requiem After channeling for 3 seconds, Karthus deals damage to all enemy champions.
After channeling for 3 seconds, Karthus deals 250/400/550 (+0.7) magic damage to all enemy champions (regardless of distance).
This is the HARDEST thing that karthus has ,Requiem is a fun spell but you have to use it under some conditions:
1.Check for pots,shields,MR,Heals(sommoners spells or champ spells)or lose it
2.The "regardless distance" thingy does not applies much DMG so you have to keep distance if you want to cast it(for safety reasons).
3.Do NOT listen to your team about when you should cast it because they might not notice , know or whatever you need to cast it, therefor fart them and check it on your own(your team does not wish to give you directions its stupid for them beacouse you must know what to do right, besides you play karthus not them)
4.Time it and you'll get even a pentakill
5.Cast it ONLY if your team cant kill the whine bitch that they are chasing and his about to escape(your team will whine like little gilrs that you KS and you dont have to face such stuff you kow).
6.Use Requiem for last hits from a safe spot but be warned that this spell CAN NOT be canceled if you move but you can lose it by a stun, fear, sileance, death(once i wanted to cancel it because the target of mine died by a teammate and i used Zhonya to do that but i have to check it again since i only did this once)
7.Requiem does not requiers any survival item, you might say "are you nuts mate" but remeber that you have your OP passive and most of the times if you are not too far away from safety (the enemy team focused you and they will kill you) you MUST die to cast it safe :D also the passive will give you respawn reduction so if you judge that you die early ,save it 'till you up again. Awesome?
Karthus can use some combos to get a kill unless your team can offer to you that combo for exaple a slow stun fear and other stuff that it will help you do your part and assist your team with the very best way you can. But when you play Karthus you MUST initiate the fight by castinf Wall Of Pain then the tank comes and the rest i think you know it, have fun!
If you read the skills that i had add there you will learn more about them and if you havent yet then go up and DO IT. so lets get started:
Lay waste is your bread and butter so you can cast this spell while you had casted wall of pain first having MR.pen runes + Wall of pain the damage will be good and if the target is alone even better.
As for casting wall of pain you can follow the defile to scare them of and to deal some damage also you can use lay only if the defile is within range and the target is affected by wall of pain.
Defile is a spell for more defensive reasons, they wont gonna touch you if you see them coming too close so you activating it and run back, after a second or two close it. But use it wisely if you face a range dps or a disabler, couse the silence,stun, fear will prevent you form casting any other spell but you can not close it and you are wasting mana. Another thing to know is to open it and cast your full cambo IF you get a SLOW effect, the reason is simple, xin zhao charges you and you got slow the defile is active the wall of pain is upon his head and you are spamming lays as a result xin will die not couse of you but couse xin is stupid the slow that he casted on you makes him move faster than you and the defile ,wall and waste killed him, the slower you move the more dmg the defile deals :D
Your ulty does not taking any place in your combo couse you will kill him with lay and if he gets away execute him asap but please,please find a safe place to do it becouse Ashe will stun you.
I think that you think more kinds of combos on your own. The order of the combo is up to you.
The Karthus has only 1 setup for his skills level up and if you take somethink wrong you are not a noob but your acting to fast.
4.Wall of pain
After level 6 (six) you can finish leveling lay or start to level wall or defile but make sure that at level 6-11-16 you got Requiem.
For items i like to use one of my two builds Mr.pen. or AP nuke build.
To start with karthus you must go mid you can lane ofc but you need an OP carry for this job.
Get an and 1 pot after you have farm alot you are going back to get you boots next the tome will be made a void staff this item gives you a % mpen and the ap is not a problem is kinda cheap and if you cant kill a thing you have to farm like crazy to get the items you want, so next comes the parts that you have to start with is the couse you need to stack mana asap and to farm while you are over-abusing Lay Waste.
Next you can come up with the parts of this items varies upon how well or bad your doing so you can judge what part you should buy first and what second,
or you can come up with a second Archangle's staff or eye (thats how i call this item XD) just remeber that you need the most AP to make your Requiem and Lay Waste to cut deep and hard so you can finish this build with [item_icon=Morello's Evil Tome] if you want, the cd is nice the mana regen is nice and also gives more AP that Deathfire Grasp.
Having mana stack that converts into AP for Karthus is the thing Even if you disagree with me upon the topic of survival then go ahead and buy Rod Of Ages, but be cerafull that you need the mana to stack AP and with the precious help of archangels you can stack mana and AP as well so its cool with me But in any case you have to seek the most OP items for your build to make the requirment dmg.
So as you can see the karthus build sux because this is mana stack/AP BUT you can go and take it will give you the slow you need to SUPPORT your team but do not expect that a survival build will make Karthus a true terror!

Know the Enemy
In this section i will explain how to treat and trick all the enemies(All the league champs) when you have them on the oppossing side. For details upon this topic you can do what i do, Unlock the champ that you hate most and play with him then try to locate the most easy to use against him weakness and....Unleash Hell.
Akali : This champ cuts deep and not only that after 6 lvl this bitch wont leave your ass alone so you have to be out of her ulty's range to make her be into a negative position. If you manage to avoid and or she managed to mark you ,you have to go back asap to break her fatal combo. If akali hides her ass into then insted of using lay use defile(if you have one or more teammates with you).Some times you will find akali solo mid whitch this will make your life a living hell after she reach lvl 6 , it is best for you to call for mid gank IF your team can actualy come for a gank. But if you see the minimap and your allies are behind the turret forget about mid gank.
Weakness : Strike her when she placed shourd away for a brush or she used before flash if she has, enter casting lays and defile.
Alistar : This is a nice champ to play ,just like the riots ambitions is to create every time a super annoying champ, first comes and then a soft turn around ya and BAM and you back into there team or turret. My best advice? stay away dont go any closer.
Weakness : Strike when he is alone and away from his turret.
Amumu : With this whiny liite dude you must wish that you are not his focus. If anything like that will happent your going down within 0.2 secons. His passive makes your MR less than normal and after a spell will be casted and BAM half HP gone just like that. If the player that has amumu has a general idea about your champ he will build MR so you have to balance your build to MRPEN and AP. This will make amumu think twice before he will ever focus you.
Weakness : Heavy CD and a directional Stun, so if you are sure that hes going to syun you seek the nearest minion wave or your tank and avoid it like so.
Anivia : The bird of ice is not kidding around Atleast not if she lanes mid with you or else. and [spell_icon=Frost bite] will make the best magic trick to you , if you see your HP bar you'll understand what i mean. can lead into a devestating result if she manage to block your path so you have to move A LOT to avoid and .Her egg will give her some time to correct any fail moves that she made, just make sure she will repeat the same fail moves if you want to put her into the hatchery.
Weakness : short range of spell which make this bitch came to close to you , so you have to return the favor by casting and then start the nuking proccess, this will make the movement of hers to fall dramaticaly just remember that Anivia moves slower than the Damn Grimm Reaper, so yeah you can handle her nice.
Annie : One of the champs that if you let to cast your position will be worst and even worst. She can deal with one or many targets at a time, all that thanks to her damn stun.Striking killing blows on minions with enables Annie to farm extremely well early in the game. BY casting to put her into the place you want to control or to mantain your lane.
Weakness : Squishy Soft and Smooth O man this could retund against you if you do it to much but still if hold your self you will be able to send her home or kill her to deal with her turret.
Ashe : She is fast food. As long as you know how to block her for reaching you , you can do well.She can slow, she can stun and she can scout so you have to pay attention upon what she is doing and avoid acordingly. can be blocked my a minion wave so manage to stay behine your minions, if you wish to cast seek a nice safe spot away from peverts sight to cast it, Caution; will break your ulty and the damage will be cancelled if you havent waste atleast 1 sec.
Weakness : Slow movement with minimal chances of escape will make her DIE MUAAAHAHHA.
Blitzcrank : This champ is not a tank anymore so if you move alot tou can manage to survive a skill or two, now most of blitz users building this imba-annoying champ with mana stack so his passive will bea trouble if you wish to cast . The most fatal thing that blitz can do to you is to grab you and fist upon you with the his rest of his team.
Weakness : He is slow to cast to aim his skills and to make any fatal damage , the true thing is to make him even slower.
Brand : A combo based champ that can deal nice amounts of damage but if you move in time you can break his combo. The fewer spells that can hit you the best for you once brand can deal further damage using his passive. Pay attention upon what kind of item brand has so that you know when to fight.
Weakness : Fair CD and slow movement, so if you are manuvering around him he will loose some spells and you will be able to cast on him .
Caitlyn : A sniper champ, in other words if the user of this champ knows where to hide his ass then he will be able to add YOUR ass into his collection. The huge autoattack range of her will make some future issues during a game so you have to stay behind a minion wave if you wish to kill her. The will lose some damage according how many targets she hits. Avoiding traps is easy, just pay attention where this fag likes to place the traps, for example in mid of a lane brushes or lane sides and avoid them accordingly while you are leading your team from an other path to fight her.
Weakness : Slow movement and requiers nice map placement just make sure that you will make those 2 thing possible to happent.
Cassiopeia : Over time dmg area cast slow movement , this is just the definition of weakness just hill her.
Cho'Gath : His ass becomes bigger every-damn-time he eats , thats might not be a problem you'll say but the size of this champ blocks your clicks :D and you will faill big time if you get his silence. To kill him is your team's carry's job not yours.
Weakness : Spells with delay , easy for you to avoid them , just make sure you will ok?
Corki : A direction range mustache guy thats has to time his attack with his spells and with his placements.
Weakness : Rather he can escape easyly he can do it just once. The solution for your issue is .
Dr. Mundo : As a tank champ that mundo is you have to keep your distance as you will while facing similar type of champs.
Weakness : During the cast of his ulty the regen is pretty good so you have to cast some to make this situation turn the favor for you even if you can kill a tank or harass it , this will put out the tank fron his team so you have to focus upon more vital targets.
Evelynn : After your first farm you have to check your pocket , go back to buy a ward and some pots because since your HP is way to rediculous low she will come for a gank.
Weakness : low HP , Low mana pool and this champ requires a nice timeming to kill an enemy(Just keep that in mind).
Ezreal : This champ is a carry was an assassin once caster and whatever the riot thinks this champ is, so if he gets you in line to cast and he will reduce your HP at half of your cap and after some normal attack, here comes and your death as well.
Weakness : he has line spells just move when he is about to cast to loss it and then your good to go.
Strategy And Tactic
Its time to deal with this one, so pay attention and you will see.....
Strategy, a word of military origin, refers to a plan of action designed to achieve a particular goal. In military usage strategy is distinct from tactics, which are concerned with the conduct of an engagement, while strategy is concerned with how different engagements are linked. How a battle is fought is a matter of tactics: the terms and conditions that it is fought on and whether it should be fought at all is a matter of strategy, which is part of the four levels of warfare: political goals or grand strategy, strategy, operations, and tactics. Building on the work of many thinkers on the subject, one can define strategy as "a comprehensive way to try to pursue political ends, including the threat or actual use of force, in a dialectic of wills – there have to be at least two sides to a conflict. These sides interact, and thus a Strategy will rarely be successful if it shows no adaptability."
In game theory, a strategy refers to one of the options that a player can choose. That is, every player in a non-cooperative game has a set of possible strategies, and must choose one of the choices.
A strategy must specify what action will happen in each contingent state of the game—e.g. if the opponent does A, then take action B, whereas if the opponent does C, take action D.
Strategies in game theory may be random (mixed) or deterministic (pure). That is, in some games, players choose mixed strategies. Pure strategies can be thought of as a special case of mixed strategies, in which only probabilities 0 or 1 are assigned to actions.
For the tactics we will use the military version of it.
Military tactics, the art of organizing an army, are the techniques for using weapons or military units in combination for engaging and defeating an enemy in battle. Changes in philosophy and technology over time have been reflected in changes to military tactics. In current military thought, tactics are the lowest of three planning levels, involving small units up to a few hundred personnel. The highest tier of planning is the strategy, which is concerned with the overall means and plan for achieving a long-term outcome. An intermediate level, which converts the strategy (high level) into tactics (low level) is the operational level that deals with formations of units.
Military tactics are at once both a science and an art. There are basic principles which — if followed — at least lend competency, 'battle drills' which try to promote automatic responses to given situations, and dozens of guides and instructions that have been written over the centuries.
For some, tactics are instinctive. Sometimes they can be taught. At its heart, tactics is a shifting amalgam of psychology, physics, and statistics.
Some practices have not changed since the dawn of warfare: ambushes, seeking and turning flanks, maintaining reconnaissance, creating and using obstacles and defences, etc. Using ground to best advantage has not changed much either. Heights, rivers, swamps, passes, choke points, and natural cover, can all be used in multiple ways. Before the nineteenth century, many military tactics were confined to battlefield concerns: how to maneuver units during combat in open terrain. Nowadays, specialized tactics exist for many situations, for example for securing a room in a building.
What does change constantly is the technological dimension, as well as the sociology of combatants. One might wish to reflect on the differences in the technology and society that produced such different types of soldier or warrior as the Roman Legionary, the Medieval Knight, the Turk-Mongol Horse Archer, the Chinese Crossbowman, the British Redcoat, or an Air Cavalry trooper. For masteries 9/0/21 Must you need the mana regen/CDR form Uty and Mpen/CDR for offence

If you are the ballziest dude ever and you wanna go so close without die then grab it(atleast when i take this spell i die-.- or i use it for the 10 AP boost and i cast it on a minion)
