Hello, and let me say that you've chosen a good, and fairly frustrating champion to play with!
Evelynn is a stealther class in League of Legends, which can be built in two ways;
Attack damage, or Ability power.
Personally I play ability power due it's more powerful, but as a con the build requires lots of money, and in my build, kills.
But before the actual guide starts, let's take a look at the class itself!
PS: Updates will be announced at the end of the guide!!
Damage 48 (+3.3 / per level)
Health 414 (+86 / per level)
Mana 180 (+42 / per level)
Armor 12.5 (+4 / per level)
Spell Block 30 (+1.25 / per level)
Health Regen 1.39 (+0.11 / per level)
Mana Regen 0.92 (+0.08 / per level)
[spell=Determined Killer] Attacks from minions deal 50% damage to Evelynn.
This is great passive, allows yourself to go protect own turret if large amounts of enemy minions are nukin' it, taking aggro but not really losing critical amounts of HP. Also good for laning and killing minions without own mobs around.
REMEMBER, THAT THIS SKILL ONLY WORKS ON ENEMY CREEPS (Non-neutral). You WILL NOT get this benefit while jungling!
Hate Spike Damages the closest enemy unit with a lightning fast bolt of energy, dealing magic damage and 50% damage to a secondary nearby target.
Instantly damages the closest enemy unit with malevolent energy, dealing 25/40/55/70/85 (+0.42) magic damage and 50% damage to a secondary nearby target.
Cooldown: 0.8 seconds
Cost: 12/15/18/21/24 Mana
This is the skill we call "spam 'n' chase". Once you have opened with Ravage, you simply run ahead of the enemy while spamming this and try to keep up with him, and when combined with Lich Bane, your melee will do fairly good damage aswell.
Shadow Walk Evelynn fades away, becoming stealthed. Evelynn's next attack or damage ability will slow that unit, ending her Shadow Walk.
Evelynn fades away, becoming stealthed for 10/20/30/40/50 seconds. Evelynn's next attack or damage ability will slow her target by 30/35/40/45/50% for 3 seconds, ending her Shadow Walk. 1.5 sec delay for stealth to take effect (delayed further by damage). Evelynn can cast Shadow Walk while stealthed to destealth.
Cooldown: 12/11/10/9/8 Seconds
Cost: 60 Mana
This is your stealth. Use it to hide. Use it to escape. Use it to kill things.
Ravage Deals damage to target unit and reduces the target's armor and magic resistance.
Deals 80/135/190/255/320 (+1) magic damage to target unit and reduces the target's armor and magic resistance by 10/14/18/22/26 for 5 seconds.
Cooldown: 9 seconds
Cost: 90/105/120/135/150 Mana
This is what makes the s*it come out of your enemy! With lots of AP stacked this one leaves no one with any intrest to keep on fighting with you - as long as they don't have 3 team mates at nearest bush!
[spell=Malice and Spite] Evelynn revels in the demise of champions she has aided in killing, healing a large portion of her Health upon their death. She may also activate the ability to increase her Attack and Movement Speed for a short time. If an enemy champion dies, this ability's cooldown is refreshed.
Passive: Each time Evelynn scores a kill or assist, she recovers 150/225/300 health.
Active: Evelynn gains 25/50/75% attack speed and 20/25/30% movement speed for 10 seconds (non-stacking, can cast while stealthed). If an enemy champion dies, this ability's cooldown is refreshed.
Cooldown: Activated on Champion kill
Cost: No Cost
Duration: 10 Seconds
Ultimate ganking skill, everytime you kill a champion, or someone finishes one for you, you get THE HP INSTANTLY (350/500/650). This is extremely good when fighting 1v2, or if you're wounded and your lane mates are able to finish your targets.
I guess it's good for everyone if we start from basics; The items.
Following item order is only one I use, and for me it does work. With this build you can stack hellalot AP in early game, but as a con you WILL need kills for that. But, if you can't get your AP high enough before level 10, don't worry, you will if you stick to your lane mate / group.
At the beginning:
Mana Potion x1
First base visit (@800g):
Upgrade Amplifying Tome > Mejai's Soulstealer
or if you got early kills, go for base (@1150g):
Upgrade Amplifying Tome > Mejai's Soulstealer
Buy Boots of Speed
Second base visit:
Gather enough money for 1 of the following:
Boots of Mobility < this one if ganking goes nicely without probs with damage
Sorcerer's Shoes < this one if you need to deal more damage
After these purchases I buy following items in exact same order, whenever I'm capable to:
Lich Bane < must have!
Void Staff < Spell Penetration, and fairly nice AP
usually game ends at this part, but if it doesn't:
[item=Morello's Evil Tome] < Farily intresting new item, 20% cooldown reduction, nice AP and mp5. Try it :)
Rabadon's Deathcap < This is last thing your enemys wish you get. ALL AP from ALL items/effects +30% !
Abyssal Scepter < More Spell Penetration, and more AP
Masteries + Runes
What comes to Masteries I use 21/0/9 build picking 1 point in Summoner's Wrath, Demolitionist and Havoc. Reason for Demolitionist is that you get quite often a chance to push lanes after ganks, and you should be able to use this time as good as possible. This one makes demolishing faster. Also note that Demolitionist damage will be added to your Lich Bane procs!
Eve can be a tough bitch without any runes at all, but if you aim to be the best I recommend any one of these types:
Spell Penetration - Easier to crush those tanky MR-Rune stackers
Ability Power - Well you play AP Eve :)
Mana per/5sec - Eve is eating mana like hell in early game, pick up flat mp5 runes!
Note: Get 1 Greater Quintessence of Intellect, base mana was reduced, so this will help you at beginning!
Otherwise these are the things for maximum damage, and ganking capability.
As what comes to skills, I prefer "Gank capability @ lvl 4" and this means I wait for level 4 to really start ganking (With lane partner I can go for first kill but otherwise ganking isn't what I do at levels 1-3)
Why start killing at level 4 you wonder? Reason is behind the abilities;
At this level you have Stealth to get behind opponents and get benefit from surprising them.
You have Rank 2 Ravage, which does fairly good dmg and usually causes enemys to start running away (=which means they don't hit you, and you can easily pop exhaust to make them easier to be hunt down with your lane mate).
You also have Hate Spite Rank 1 at this point. This can be saivior if your melee ain't enough, and you need something to finish them. Ain't so good in dmg yet, but can help bring them down slightly faster.
Made one modification as in patch **0.109 stealth nerfed to have increase-duration-by-skill-level, this is why you will need to get another point to it earlier !
Ah, the precious Summoner Spells which everyone argues from bottom of their hearts.
For me, I max out damage + ganking abilities, as these are what Evelynn are made for with certain amount of feeding.
By this you can already guess what I'll take
1. Ignite < Pain in enemy Stealthers, and good for finishing off. Also has a nickname "Mordekaisers Hell". Also reduces healing (good against players with summoner heal, or support healers)
2. Exhaust < Good for ganking, defensive stats reduce, and gives certain survivability
[RNDMFACT; Summoner Spells were known "Summoner Spells" long time ago :)]
Evelynn is not a creeper at low levels with the build I've shown, but as soon as you get geared up and slightly feeded, your Hate Spike makes it very easy to solo buff holders / jungle creeps.
Altho try to get Golem Buff, you will need mana regen !
Altho it's not bad idea to get Lizard buff as well, slowing effect is good, and other stats fairly supportive, but your teams AD needs it more so keep that in mind.
Working in the team
Evelynn isn't so much of a team worker to move in first line without feed, so in team fights you should lure nearby, and finish off wounded enemys as well as slowing them for your team mates to be able to nuke. Once you are strong enough, you can go on and spank 'em! Don't forget to use double slow trick!!

Fixed a bug with Lich Bane where the cost was inadvertently increased and the mana gain lowered

Base mana reduced to 180 from 212
Mana per level increased to 42 from 38
Base damage reduced to 48 from 53
Damage per level increased to 3.3 from 2.9
Base armor reduced to 12.5 from 14.75
Hate Spike mana cost increased to 12/15/18/21/24 from 8/10/12/14/16
Shadow Walk duration reduced to 10/20/30/40/50 from 20/30/40/50/60
Shadow Walk cooldown reduced to 12/11/10/9/8 from 12 at all ranks upon breaking stealth
Malice and Spite duration reduced to 10 seconds from 15
Base mana reduced, GET 1 FLAT MANA QUINTESSENCE!!! The mana will be higher at level 18 tho, but at the beginning we need the mana.
Higher DMG, do they seriously try to make Eve melee ?
Less armor, tho you will just try to live with it :/
Hate Spike is more expensive (another reason for speccin Ravage first)
Shadow Walk duration reduced, but cooldown aswell (thank god), get one point to SW earlier (see new skill build!!!)
Malice and Spite duration reduced, so use it more wisely !
Update: Patch v22.214.171.124 Nothing to Eve, but one interesting change to Monster AI's;
Monster AI has been improved and will now attempt to switch to a nearby target when you leave their leash range. Monsters can now reaggro if anyone in their camp is attacked while they are retreating.
Update: Patch v126.96.36.199 NOTHING! :( Keep on rolling my friends! :)
Update: Patch v188.8.131.52 once again, nothing added or modified with Evelynn.
Update: Patch v184.108.40.206 didn't once again bring anything new to Evelynn :( Let's keep on spanking then rofl :D
Update: SEASON ONE IS OUT, It's time to celebrate! By these times, new laddered games are added, and people are eager to show their skills in solo que :D Although this patch didn't bring anything new, I would like to remind you with one improvement;
Turret damage scaling now begins at 90% instead of 85%
Turret damage scaling per hit increased to 20% from 15%
Update: Patch v220.127.116.11 STILL nothing. Really, only thing changed for a long time was Hate Spikes interface which is pretty wicked now :3
Update: Patch v18.104.22.168 removed base dodge from Eve. Nothing else, that would affect the guide.
Update: Patch v22.214.171.124 didn't bring anythin new to Evelynn. Only few new spell vamp / att. dmg fusion items.
Update: Patch v126.96.36.199 (bring on the trumpets!) *trattatataaaa!* nothing new. Surprised? :D
