  • Abilities

    Death Defied
A usefull passive, specially in team fights. If they focus you and you die, you still deal huge damage to them.

    Lay Waste
Probably the hardest skillshot to land in game. You should put it directy under the enemy only if he stands in 1 place for a longer time. Otherwise, always try and predict where will the enemy go. It takes some training, but it is not that hard really.

    Wall of Pain
Your beautifull wall. It makes you destroy that mid opponent on lvl 4. They should be around half health, you drop wall, you spam q, turn on e, opponent is dead.

    Defile
It has a great passive for mana regen but don't use your q to trigger it becouse it regens less than your q costs. Only do that if it will take less q's than the minions killed.

    Requiem
A very unique ult. On lvl 1 use it only if someone is under 200hp, since everyone has 30 mr and 200 is near the dmg you will deal. Later on you can use it before the start of team fight, but I don't recommend it because your enemies will just bluepill and come back with full hp, making your ult waisted. Use it to finish off weak enemies or to simply help an ally over the map who is 1v1ing

  • Introduction

This is how some dude once called me so I tought I should make a guide named that way. I saw a lot of Karthus guides here and just a few are good, so I will try and make the best. If you don't like something/downvote please leave some feedback because this is my first guide.
    Sorry for grammar
    Lets start :)

  • Masteries + Runes

For masteries we go 9/0/21, typical caster build.
    For runes:
    9x Greater Mark of Insight
    9x Greater Seal of Replenishment
    9x Greater Glyph of Potency
    3x Greater Quintessence of Fortitude
We need magic penetration, mana regen is good because you will spam your abilities all the time and you don't want to completly rely on your E so they are good. glyphs are for some early game dominance witch is very important and Quintessences are also for early game survivability.

  • Items

Your first items should always be [item=meki pendant] and 2x Health Potion
On your first trip back get Tear of the Goddess and Boots of Speed
Next time you get back get a Hextech Revolver and turn it into Will of the Ancients as soon as you can. This is a vital item because it makes you much stronger in 1v1 and you can health regen in between fights.
Before getting will of the ancients, buy Sorcerer's Shoes
Now Start building towards Rylai's Crystal Scepter, try and start with a Giant's Belt.
Your next item is Archangel's Staff. Now you have some great damage and survivability.
Your next item depends on the state of game. If you are dominate, get Rabadon's Deathcap. If they have the edge you need some survivability items, so get either Abyssal Scepter or Zhonya's Hourglass, depending on their team structure.
For the last item get Rabadon's Deathcap if you didn't earlier, if they stack magic resist go for Void Staff, else take one of the 2 above survivability items.

Your final items should look something like this:
    [builder=Karthus/8922b7122f11c32f41d269c50424eb7d]

  • Skilling Order

We prioritize our q, than w and in the end e, it is very straight forward.

  • Summoner Abilities

I always take ghost and teleport. You will be taking mid so you do make a great use of teleport and ghost helps you really a lot and has great versitility. You can choose any summoner spells you like tought, I'm just recommending these.

  • Pros / Cons

    pros:
Has a great low CD nuke
    Can kill anyone anywhere
    Has huge AoE DoT
Has an AoE 80% slow, with is kinda like a perma-slow combined with rylai's
    cons:
    Very hard to master
Can be countered with Banshee's Veil or Zhonya's Hourglass

  • Creep Jungling

You should always take blue buff. When I say always I mean always. There are really few champions that make better use of it. I think there is only 1 actually, anivia. If you have her in the team, let here take it. Otherwise, it is yours.

  • Farming

Don't use your q or your e for farming until it comes to mid game. From there on just press E and watch them die.

  • Summary

This is the end of the guide, I will edit it, I will add some things, but for now this is it. I am really good with karthus and I know that you can also be. Just train and get to the perfection.
