Introduction
Hi this is my first guide ever. Don't hate ;)
-
Abilities
| [spell=Colossal Strength] |
| Good passive, except I don't push towers. My role is to initiate and wreck their team. But you can play DPS alistar which is equally amazing in it's own way. |
|
Pulverize |
AoE knockup. A lot like cho'gath's Rupture in the fact of it's 1AP ratio and AoE knockup, except this one is instant.
I refer to this one as butter. |
|
Headbutt |
| And this one is your bread. You can have bread without butter, but it's much better to use both. |
|
Triumphant Roar |
| AoE heal that procs sheen. Good for early game and pushing. |
|
Unbreakable Will |
| Removes any CC on alistar and reduces damage. Wonderful way to walk into the other team and initiate. |

Strategy
There are two things you can do.
Option 1: The easy way. You'll hear me refer to this as "the combo" or something like that.
You can walk into the other team (whether it's one person or not), and use your
Pulverize to knock them up, walk some distance away from your team, and then
Headbutt someone towards your team. Or in a teamfight, headbutt the DPS AWAY from the fight.
Option 2: The somewhat hard way.
This one you need timing on. It's a pretty good way to initiate a fight if you can pull it off.
What you want to do is
Headbutt the person you do NOT want near the fight and instantly
Pulverize. This will cause you to 1. Dash into the team. 2. Knock everyone, including the one headbutted away, up.
-
Skilling Order
I take
Headbutt over
Pulverize because if you have two
Philosopher's Stone you don't need to farm. Leave it to your carry.
-
Masteries + Runes
0/21/9
I prefer
Good Hands over
Perseverance because if you tank, you'll probably die from a madred if the other team is smart.

Runes:
Greater Mark of Insight x9
Greater Seal of Clarity x9
Greater Glyph of Warding x9
Greater Quintessence of Fortitude x3
I don't like to buy a lot of runes so I often reuse runes. There are a lot of room for replacement, but these typically work.

Summoner Abilities
YOU MUST ALWAYS GET
Flash!!!!!!!!!
Why?
1. It lets you pull off your combo without annoyingly walking over there.
2. You can cut off runners with
Flash +
Pulverize
3. Flashing through walls is cool.
Next.
Ignite
Exhaust
Teleport
Ghost
I don't use anything else.

Items
First items:
Faerie Charm x2
Health Potion x3
After you get
Triumphant Roar, you don't need HP that much. But you do need mana to cast it!
After getting at least 1240, I recommend staying in lane until 1590, upgrade to
Philosopher's Stone x2. These give you insane laning power and allow you to do nothing and complete your build.
For boots, either get
Mercury's Treads or
Ionian Boots of Lucidity for obvious conditions. I recommend getting these fast because you're slow and you need speed for your combo.
GOOD ITEMS
Aegis of the Legion Aura saves lives. Synergizes with your heal.
Banshee's Veil Nothing more annoying than not being able to reach your goal.
[item=Force of Nature] Speed AND a bunch of magic resist and hp regen? Synergizes with your ulti.
Spirit Visage Good for your heal and has CDR.
Abyssal Scepter AP for your offence, MR for defense, and another Aura for offence? Awesome. Good with
Pulverize.
Glacial Shroud CDR and armor mainly. Upgrade to
Frozen Heart if the other team has a lot of att.speed dependent people.
Sunfire Cape Good on any tank.
Thornmail For those who Auto Attack.
BAD ITEMS
Why? I'm not going to limit you. We're all human so I may have made a mistake and not realized the potential of one item. Negative lists are negative.
