Introduction

Hi Community,
this is my Guide to Garen, The Might of Demacia.
First i have to say, that i tried many different builds on Garen described on LeagueCraft and by myself and finally I´m sure that my Build is much more effective then 80% of all Garen guides in here, but check it yourself.

So i ll tell u a few things u have to know, if u want being succesfull with Garen, The Might of Demacia.

So let´s start with the guide but remember its only usefull and working if u check the full guide not just the Items i recommend.
If u just want to take a look on another Garen Item Build, then dont Flame into the comments cause its not working.

Abilities

Perseverance

A very good passive " .5% HP regenerated per second while he is out of combat for 7 seconds" it is a very good passive always keep your HP regenerating while standing in high Grass. (always means if u have time to do that without risking something).

Decisive Strike

A very good skill, the "STFU" skill, Decent damage, long silence, speed boost and all u need.
Garens skill what makes Garen to Garen, the Might of Demacia.

Courage

Good skill to survive, for tower diving and gang entering. Really usefull skill.

Judgment

"I (Silence), i Spin .... I win."
That Spin skill is awsome the dmg scaling is awsome, too.
AOE dmg, hmmm sounds good.
6-7 sec Cooldown if build like me, hmmm is good aswell.

Demacian Justice

So we re reaching the Ultimate skill, whenever your silence and spin + a few hitz didnt kill the target u give him the rest using your Ult.

remember: much HP = more HP he can miss More HP he miss = more Additional Dmg

I TESTED THIS BUILD FOR U

I tested many items and played many games till i found my way to play him.
To show u the effectivness of my build look the screens below.

these 6 Rank games i did a few days ago just for u, maybe it shows the effectivness.

Scored 20/2/26 in Ranked Game:

All 9 Games Ranked just one lost,cause we got feeder but doenst matter, who cares its just somthing what i made to make u sure that dps/ad garen based on half tank isnt bad.

8 Wins 1 loose ... i made that games all on 01/31/2011 i hope it makes u clear that this items work and are worth to try xD

Masteries + Runes

As Runes I use :
9x Greater Mark of Desolation
9x Greater Seal of Evasion
9x Greater Glyph of Focus
9x Greater Quintessence of Fortitude

That is the rune-set i strongly recomment to use...
if u dont own them, hmmm then its time to get them now...

Here the Masterys u should take: 21/0/9
Item-set

I ll describe my own core build and a few items u can use when u get in trouble with my normal build...

So first u start with a Doran's Blade
and move to your lane.
After collecting about 1500 Gold (shouldn`t be that hard) u recall and get Giant's Belt and Boots of Speed.
If u wasn`t already owning them, u should start doing it by now.
Next u should buy an The Brutalizer and in 90% of all games u should upgrade your Boots of Speed into Ionian Boots of Lucidity, remember thats your core build if their stund and other debuffs are extremly hard, only then u upgrade to Mercury's Treads.

With these items u got hp and cooldowns + additional armor pen, considering your Greater Glyph of Focus and the items u got u will have about 37-38% Cooldown reduction, what means u can spamm Spinning around and deal massive dmg.

To complett your Core Build u should upgrade Giant's Belt into a Sunfire Cape and your The Brutalizer into a Youmuu's Ghostblade. (use that active as often as u can)

Now your core-build is finished.

COREBUILD:

As next it all depends to the situation u re in:

If u dont receive massive magic dmg then get Last Whisper as your next Item i really recomment u that item cause its awsome on Garen.

But if u receive strong magic dmg then go for [item=Force of Nature] first and then go for Last Whisper.

When u go for [item=Force of Nature] and after that for Last Whisper, then sell the and get Atma's Impaler or The Bloodthirster

Should end like:
[item_icon=Force of Nature]
or
[item_icon=Force of Nature]

If u dont get a [item=Force of Nature] then i recomment u to buy Last Whisper and Atma's Impaler.

When the time is comming to sell your u can get Infinity Edge instead, if u can handle the situation and have no problems with the enemy teams dmg.

If not get a Banshee's Veil or a Thornmail
it depends on the main dmg u re taking.

At least it should look like that:

More Defensive:

More M.Resistant:

Test it :) and gimme comments after.
Skilling Order

The Skilling Order i use for that guide, always skill like that and u ll be succesfull:

-Why not maxing instead of first?
---Because u get the 2 sec sillence already skilling it once and reduce the dmg taken, its a very good skill so just believe me its better if u Skill out to the max after your .
Summoner Abilities

As Summoner Abilities i always take:
Exhaust and Ghost
-Why ?
---Because If u take a Point into [mastery=Cripple] then the target has reduced armor and m.res!
It sounds nice and it is nice, because u can spin him death or escape well so better u take that.

If u dont want to take Exhaust, then u can take Ignite or Flash.

But never ever take other Spells cause they re not usefull for your Garen.
Working in the team

Ladys and Gentlemen,

How to work with teammates? hmmmm

If u re laning early game u spend the most time in the High grass because its a kind of your home or your arena.
If u re standing in High grass u can silence some one and spin on him, in the duration of his silence he wont dmg u that hard but u ll dmg him.
Thats why its Important to be in grass because u got the first strike and the one who do the first strike will have the last strike also.

How to be succesfull in a teamfight:

I think after a few Games u ll see what u CAN do and what u CANT so just do it.
I ll add a video later on.
Unique Skills (Items)

Just always use Youmuu's Ghostblade Active Skill its a very good skill.

Comment the guide pls it`s my first one and i wrote it cause many Guys asked me to do that or how i play him that well.

So i wait for some criticism.

PS: I never say that my way to play Garen is the best way but im sure that its a very good one.
