  • Intro

    Sen here,
    writing my first guide for this site at all. Some ppl call me noob cause i am not even Lvl 30
    but i think actually a good brain covers the dif from 24 to 30 well.
    Just check it out and decide urself ;)

    This guide is NOT 100% done yet. I was somehow awake for way too long.
    But i will update this with images and other stuff very soon.
    (Have to do it soon, gonna be off for 6 days in 2 days lol)
    I just publish it now so u guys see how this works and maybe u fall in love
    with it like i did.

    Just one quick thing.
    BEFORE u rate or comment, test exactly this build in a quick match
    and u see why i like it.

  • Patches

    Piltover Peacemaker
    o Base damage changed to 20/65/110/155/200 from 40/70/100/130/160
    o Attack damage ratio increased to 1.3 from 1
    o Damage loss per unit increased to 10% from 6%
    o Maximum damage loss increased to 50% from 30%

    Ace in the Hole
    o Base damage increased to 250/475/700 from 250/400/550
    o Now provides vision on the target for the duration and thus is not canceled when the target leaves line of sight
    o Fixed a bug where Ace in the Hole didn't scale from the Havoc mastery
    o Damage is now treated as a spell instead of an attack
    o No longer triggers hit effects like Blessing of the Lizard Elder
    o Now triggers spell hit effects like Rylai's Crystal Scepter
    o Cannot be dodged or blocked by Pantheon's Aegis Protection

  • Abilities

    Headshot
    Every 8 attacks (attacks while in brush count as 2),
    Caitlyn will fire a headshot dealing 150% damage to a champion or 250% damage to a minion.

    This is great for "poking" enemy champs. Just shoot down they're mobs, then headshot the Champion.
    Trust me, he wont like it.

    Tipps:
    o U get 2 Stacks if u use a bush. U know what? Use a bush.
    o Dont lasthit Minions that dont have aggro, even on low HP with it.
    o Can Crit, yes it can. But dont build up ur complete Char on this.
    o U get Stacks when u atack Tower, but the Effect doesnt trigger. So a Minion Kill every 7 hits works good!
    o With 2,5Apsd (no u wont reach it) u do a Headshot every 3,2sec without or 1,6sec with bush.
    o Works well if u stack to 7, use a Skill and then Headshot a Champ for harras after if u build Shen.


    Piltover Peacemaker
    Caitlyn revs her rifle for 1 second to fire a penetrating shot which deals 20/65/110/155/200 (+1 per attack damage) physical damage. However, it deals 10% less to subsequent targets, down to a minimum of 50%.
    The mana cost of this ability increases 10 per rank from 50 at rank 1. The cooldown decreases 10/9/8/7/6.

    Since we dont build on high Mana, this is more the Join/Leave Skill into or out of a Teamfight.
    Why out? U have to aim? Omg gtfo Noob? Read below. :P

    Tipps:
    o Use in a Combo with ur 90 Caliber Net to escape, slow AND do Dmg.
    o This Skill got an awesome range, use it.
    o U have to channel for 1sec, so enemys could easily dodge it. Use ur friend, the bush.
    o The Hitbox is small. U can still hit all 6 Minions but u sometimes have Problems with Runner.
    o CAN hit Enemys behind Towers without getting in Tower Range.
    o Frozen Mallet & other Stuff doesnt get triggered.
    o Its phys dmg, so ur ArmorPen does affect it. And we have a shitload of that.


    Yordle Snap Trap
    Caitlyn sets up to two traps to reveal sneaky yordles, which trigger on champions. When sprung, the trap immobilizes the target and deals 80-280 (+.8 per ability power) magic damage every .5 seconds over 1.5 seconds.
    The mana cost of this ability is 60 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 20/17/14/11/8.

    This will fck up Enemys in Bushes.
    Place one or two in bushes and love the enemy team for facechecking them.
    I even saw a Malphite rushing into both, one after one. lol

    Tipps:
    o If u already controle the Lane, place them at the enemy Junglearea. Can make them fail hard.
    o Max 2 Traps aloud. Dont waste your Mana trying to play Teemo.
    o About 2sec after u use the Skill, the Trap is ready. Dont try to place them for escaping that way.
    o If u play 3vs3, place one under ur second tower in the bush. It can & will save lifes.
    o Just like Nidalee's Traps, ppl CAN see them. But u can try to "hide" them under Champs.


    90 Caliber Net
    Caitlyn fires a net to slow her target by 50% for 1-2 second(s). This deals 80-280 (+.8 per ability power) magic damage and knocks Caitlyn back.
    The mana cost of this ability is 90 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 18/16/14/12/10.

    Ur escape move together with Peacemaker. Why?
    Cause u can skip the Animation of t if u do it this way:
    Use 90 Caliber Net -> Wait like.. 0,5sec? -> Cast Peacemaker -> Run.
    U will use it both at the same time while u can escape, slow AND do some dmg.

    Tipps:
    o The pushback isnt that good. Only use it offensive if u know what you're doing.
    o Can push u over small wall's.
    o Can be used mixed off-/defensive if u lasthit a low hp champ while standing at a small wall to escape.
    o Unlike ur Ulti, this will hit Minions.


    Ace in the Hole
    Caitlyn takes time to line up the perfect shot, dealing 250/475/700 (+2 per bonus Attack Damage) physical damage at 1400 / 1800 / 2200 range.
    The mana cost of this ability is 150 at all ranks, and the cooldown decreases per rank 90/75/60.

    This is ur Move against runner.
    (Yes, u now got a Wep VS Noob Yi running away with 30% Life cause hes scared of dieing)

    Tipps:
    o Makes u able to see the Enemy while u charge it.
    o Charge Time is 2sec, but Stun & Stuff WILL cancel it.
    o Will trigger any "Magic On Hit" Effects like Rylai's Crystal Scepter (Patched!)
    o Other Enemy Champs can "block" it, making them get hit.
    o Dmg is AD from Items+Runes+Stuff * 2
    o Dmg is counted as a Spell
    o Cannot be dodged or blocked by Pantheon's Aegis Protection


  • Skilling Order



    We need the Q first, its range makes us able to poke the enemy even more.
    On Lvl 2 u will get the Trap first, because sometimes if u place it right under Champs
    they dont see it and u get an easy kill. On 3vs3 u can place one on the top lane bush
    to check if enemys go all top or use it to check bushes in the mid. The Net on lvl 4 is enough
    to get out of bad situations quickly. Remember the Q+E Combo ;)

  • Quick Reference

    Okay, i dont have the time to make a screen of a normal game right now
    cause its 12:31 midday already and i was awake the complete night DD:
    But i made a bot game (1vs5) earlier this night after some IP Farm games
    (u see thoose on the screen too xD) that gotta use this place
    till i have a good screen of this build on normal or even ranked.

    Yes i know: Bots only.
    But u see the dmg. Dont u?
    (Sry for the German Interface :/ - But if u play often, u know what is what, right?)

  • Masteries

    On Masterys i go a simple 21-0-9 (well atm 21-0-x) way to get some mana regen & the Dmg we need.

    (Note: If u use Ghost, drop the [mastery_text=Good Hands] for [mastery_text=Haste])

    Bonus's from this:
    o 2% Crit Chance
    o 0,20AP per Lvl
    o 3% CD Reduce
    o 4% more Aspd
    o 6 Armor Ignore
    o 2 Dmg
    o 10% Crit Dmg
    o 5% Dmg (Phys & Magic)
    o 4% more HP/MP Regen
    o 5% more EP
    o +0.33 Mana Regen per Sec
    o 3,33% less Deathtime OR 8%/1,5sek Ghost Boost

  • Runes

    Runes are simply. We somehow use nearly the same then any good Ashe uses :/

    Red - Greater Mark of Desolation x9
    Yellow - Greater Seal of Clarity x9
    Blue - Greater Glyph of Celerity x9
    Quints - Greater Quintessence of Desolation OR Greater Quintessence of Fortitude

    Giving us:
    o 15.03 ArmorPen
    o 0.9 Mana every 5 Sec per Level (16.2 at 18)
    o 0.45 CD Reduce per Level (8.1 at 18)
    o Either 9.96 more ArmorPen or 97,2 Flat HP (on lvl 1!)

  • Summoner Spells

    Since everyone uses his fav's i just list the good ones here.

    Good ones:

    I just love this for escaping, since we are somehow squishy.
    Also can be used hardly offensive & for tower diving.


    Works even better for escaping then Flash, but i just dont like it.
    Still its freakn good. If u get this, get [mastery_text=Haste] under Mastery's.


    If u find urself too much being banged by stuns or if u just love
    to remove poisons that will last hit u, take this.


    Good for Dmg, Lasthitting & breaking heal.
    But the Range of Ignite is way lower then Cait's Range herself.
    Thats why u would not suggest this.


    Good for cutting down DPS Chars, but the same with Ignite..
    why kill the godly range u have by going infront of them?
    Still good though.

    After all..
    just dont pick Heal, Revive or Fortify x_X

  • Items & Stuff

    Okay this gets tricky.
    U can either buy 2 Doran's Blade here to power up ur early/mid game
    and giving ur char some health or u can just start with boots to get around faster.
    I prefer 1 Doran's Blade, then Boots of Speed or another Doran's Blade.

    Our Core will depend on what u bought now. But lets just say we bought 2 Doran's
    our Core Build will look like this now:

    Now the Boots..
    Cait is kinda slow u must see what u want more urself.
    Best Ways:
    More Aspd + 2Mov - Berserker's Greaves
    No Apsd + 3Mov - Boots of Swiftness
    Passive 5Mov + 2Mov - Boots of Mobility
    Lets just say i take Berserks for this guide. But all 3 are great. :P

    Now we start getting our base Items.
    First lovely item will be The Brutalizer.
    It gives us more ArmorPen, some Dmg and some CD to spam our Q more often.
    And later we can just upgrade it for smt even better, more later.

    Next Item will make low Armor Champs feed us. Why?
    Its the The Black Cleaver.
    We already have 40+ Armor Pen with just The Brutalizer, our Masterys & Runes
    and now we got a Wep that stacks up to 45 more after just 3 hits? Yes pls.

    So, our Inventory looks somehow like this now:


    We now have a shitload of ArmorPen, some Lifesteal, a good Aspd Boost, CD Reduce
    and a good AD Boost. What do we want now.. lets see we play DPS. Means we want high dmg over short time.
    Right? Good, we want more Aspd and some more Lifesteal so we can just keep pushing them down.
    The best Item for both this is The Bloodthirster. We get +100AD and 25% Lifesteal if its full.
    This already will get us on some nice base AD, Aspd & Lifesteal.

    After The Bloodthirster u should notice that ur Aspd is good, but well.. good only.
    So what can we do to increase our Aspd AND our dmg even more?
    We upgrade our The Brutalizer into Youmuu's Ghostblade.
    More ArmorPen, some more Dmg, and all 60sec we go on Rampage now.
    And guess what? We even have some Crit now.

    So our Core looks like this now:


    Now, rarely games go over this moment, but if they do there are some ways u can go.
    Note: U have to sell ur Dorans now to make Space, BUT only sell them if u have the Money
    to buy a new item. Selling them with 100gold, makes u fail. Yes u sir.

    Items u can think about getting:

    Infinity Edge
    Gives u even more AD, more Crit, more CritDmg and makes theyre squishy Champs just go
    "OMG Wtf did he just 2hit me?" if they come near you.

    The Bloodthirster
    Yes, another one.
    I personally dont use this methode but it do works somehow.
    100 more AD and even more Lifesteal.

    Banshee's Veil
    Enemy Team is caster heavy? They like to nuke u down?
    Get this for more HP, MP to spam, and a skyrocking shield.
    Works WONDERS about Champs like Karthus too.

    Phantom Dancer
    More Aspd, more Crit, more Movement.
    But since Caits Ult cant crit right atm i wouldnt suggest it at 5th item.

    More Aspd and more Lifesteal together with 20 more ArmorPen
    This actually works really well but fails if u want more dmg.

    Sword of the Divine
    Another experiment.
    The passive doesnt do much lategame and u dont want to get
    it early game. But the active somehow could rock lategame
    together with the 60% Apsd. Going to test it.
